Built and decorated in Italian Renaissance style, the Chateau abounds with marble fireplaces, gilt mirrors and original hand-painted ceilings which are complemented throughout by use of light and space. Tall ceilings, parquet floors and elegant 3m high double doors opening onto balustraded terraces bestow a sense of timeless elegance. The Château and its serene setting provide a sanctuary for those who wish to refresh themselves. The Château is set in 138 acres of beautiful park and unspoiled woods, with a lake and 100m frontage onto the River Vienne. In the arboretum you will find magnificent cedars from the Atlas Mountains, glorious copper beeches and a stately flowering tulip tree. There are many trails through the woods, a private tennis court and an international golf course next door. Limoges, in the heart of the Limousin with its beautiful lakes and rivers, is an old Roman City with a twelfth century Cathedral. It is the porcelain centre of France and there are museums, festivals and plenty of the fine dining for which France is justifiably famous. For the shopper, Limoges has many Parisian style boutiques along with a large shopping mall. Within walking distance is world class 18 hole golf course. One kilometre from the Château is a stables for those who wish to ride horses or take horse riding lessons. The local Sunday market is perfectly timed for those who arrive on the Saturday. There you will find everything from handmade aprons to fresh produce, chickens, and much in between!

    - Security Deposit: £1,000 is to be paid on arrival and will be refunded three weeks after departure and would be subject to a damage inspection.
    - Linen and Towels: Usage of all linen and towels are included in the rental price.
    - Energy costs: Included in the rental price. The following three bedrooms rooms are heated by log fires (no radiators): Suite La Marquess, Chambre Le Marquis, Chambre Francoise.
    - End of stay cleaning: Please leave the Château as you found it to prevent a cleaning charge at the end of your stay.
    - Arrival time: 5 p.m. (exceptions can be made in advance)
    - Departure time: 11 a.m.
    - Smoking Policy: No smoking anywhere on the property.
    - Pets: no pets.

    Insurance is recommended to cover cancellation and accidental damage.
  • Cleaning: You will find the Château freshly cleaned on your arrival but if you wish to have housekeeping support during your stay, we can make the necessary arrangements upon request.

    Self-catering (special gourmet meals can be provided with 48 hour advance notice).

Notes: The Château is set in 138 acres of beautiful park and unspoilt woods, with a lake and 100 metres frontage onto the River Vienne. In the arboretum you will find magnificent Cedars from the Atlas Mountains, glorious copper beeches and a stately flowering Tulip tree. The park has several 'watering points', granite benches where you can sit and enjoy the ambiance. The two acre lake is stocked with fish and there is abundant wildlife in the woods. Deer, boar, heron, falcon, pine martin and many other creatures find refuge among the woods and waterways of Les Villettes. If you are feeling adventurous there are numerous trails through the woods to be explored, or for the more energetic, the park has a private tennis court and there is an international 18 hole golf course next door.
