Photos and Description of the Xativa vacation house rental In the oldest street of Enguera, excellent hiking, olympic size pool 400m

Located in the oldest street of Enguera, this recently renovated house has a beautiful terrace, a main bedroom with stunning views of the mountains. In less than 2 minutes from the front door you can be in the heart of the village or hiking in the mountains. The ground floor has a comfortable lounge/dining area with wood burning stove, a large fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with bath and shower. A flight of stairs takes you to the first floor with one large and one small double bedroom and a large bathroom with walk in shower. On the second floor there is a further bedroom which leads onto a delicious covered terrace with some excellent views to the mountains just behind the village. In the summer months we include a free pass to the local swimming pool just a couple of minutes' walk from the house.

Although only 45 minutes from Valencia airport and 12km from the A7 motorway, Enguera is well off the beaten track. Bordered to the south by the mountain range that takes its name, the village forms the Southern boundary of the Macizo de Caroche, a forested limestone plateau of over 2,300 square kms, a nature reserve home to a large variety of wildlife from Bonelli's Eagles to Cabra Montés. The massif is a natural aquifer scored by deep, cool canyons that provide some spectacular wild swimming sites. Over 20 marked hiking routes are within easy distance of the village and there is excellent road and mountain biking in the area. The area's prehistoric population left over 30 cave art sites, declared world heritage site by UNESCO. The village itself is charming with a pop. of around 6000 and several dozen bars and restaurants.

Additional information about rental rates

  • The above rates are for the whole house for two people.
    For four people, the low season rate is 100€/night and high season 120€/night.
    For six people, the low season rate is 120€/night and high season 150€/night.
  • For stays of more than one week an additional clean and change of linen is included in the price.

    During the winter months wood for the stove is provided free of charge.

    During the summer your stay will include free access to the nearby municipal pool.
  • To secure the booking we require a deposit of 30% with the balance due for payment 8 days prior to arrival.

    Payment can be made by bank transfer in sterling to our UK bank, in € to our Spanish account, by PayPal or online with a credit card (there maybe a small additional charge for this service).

    A discount can be arranged for longer stays.
