Notes: South Fork Colorado is small. Very small. My wife and I are full time residents with two boys who attend local schools. We both come from the big city and understand the differecne and change one goes through. Nothing, and I mean nothing descrbes the beauty of Wolf Creek Pass in the winter or summer. You are a short 20 to 25 minute drive to the ski area in the winter. Wolf Creel Ski Area offers the best snow in Colorado. If yoiu are lookingf for that small small town feel in a remote area away from it all then South Fork,, Creede and Pagosa Springs are the place.

My family and I stayed here last September (2012) for my wedding. The house is very clean and has everything you could need: four sleeping areas (not including the living room), cozy (yet modern) log cabin feel, great garage space, large hot tub, outdoor grills, beautiful decor, and a deck that goes right out to the river! The setting and the house are even more beautiful in person than they are in pictures. The manager of the home was very accommodating and available and checked in on us a few times to see if we needed anything. The location is close to town, yet when you're in the home, you feel like you're in an oasis.

I would recommend this house for families, couples, or anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in the Rockies.

Perfect Home on a Beautiful Mountain River

We picked this home because of the location on the river. We loved the fact that the guys in our group could fish right out the back door of the home and the gals could be on the deck and feel a part of the activity.
Creede is close to the home and has wonderful shops and places to eat. Another stop up the road from South Fork is Blue Creek Lodge - talk about good food - homemade pies, sweet rolls, soups, etc etc
An exciting part of our stay was the bear that ventured down the mountain towards one of the men that was fishing at sundown.

The cabin was clean. The fishing was ok for the time of year ( Aug. with the water down). We caught fish right of the dock. The hot tub was great for the mom in law. The best part was the willingness to take our pets including my cat. Not every person has clean pets....Ours are a little spoiled. The deciding factor in our choice was fishing and being able to take our pets. We had been gone for 4 weeks and it was great not having to worry about the pets. They also had enough dishes and the grill ready to go. We ate all our meals in the cabin.I would recomend this place for anyone looking in the South Colorado area.
