Beautiful 2 Bed/2 Bath modern sunny house in outstanding location near Oban.

Mullach Dubh (pronounced Doo!) is a beautiful modern two bedroom two bathroom house in the prestigious Marina village of Craobh Haven (pronounced Croov!), near Oban. Our sunny light spacious home with its open plan living, well equipped kitchen and sunny garden is a perfect holiday home for families, couples and friends. We have Scottish Tourist Board 4* quality standard.

The tiny village of Craobh Haven, right on the sea with spectacular sunsets and views, is ideally situated midway between Oban and Lochgilphead in arguably the most stunning part of Argyll, with its amazing scenery, sea lochs, Hebridean islands, hills and moors, ancient history, art galleries and excellent shops, wonderful locally produced meat, fish, seafood and vegetables and first class restaurants.

Mullach Dubh - Living: Our beautiful new modern family home has been lovingly refurbished, redecorated, refurnished and re-carpeted to meet the highest sophisticated modern standards

The open plan living area is spacious, clean, warm and bright throughout - with sun pouring in from the large windows to the front and back, giving views to its namesake -Mullach Dubh- the bracken and heather 'tweed tapestry' hillside behind

The furniture is all brand new, exceptionally comfortable and decked with cushions and cosy throws. There is an open log fire with full log and coal baskets. With have free broadband wifi, a good library of books, DVDs, CDs, videos and books.

The solid wood dining table has 6 generous places and the chairs have padded cushions for maximum comfort. Views to the garden and hills beyond can be enjoyed whilst dining

The kitchen is newly fitted out with new white goods and worktops. As we are keen cooks we have ensured that it is fully equipped to suit every cook's needs, with quality cookware and table ware

Mullach Dubh - more Living: Upstairs is a double bedroom with en-suite shower room. The second bedroom has double or twin beds and there is a large family bathroom. All bedlinen is exceptionally good 100% cotton and there are plenty of fluffy towels. The new wardrobes and cupboards have loads of storage space and masses of hangers. The cot can be located in either bedroom.

The whole house is full of stunning examples of local artists', photographers' and craftspeople's work to complete the finishing touches to this beautiful and sophisticated holiday home.

The south facing garden catches the sun all day long and is a real sun trap, and there is a good supply of garden furniture, sun loungers and BBQ. The terrace offers spectacular views to Mullach Dubh, with its ever changing light

Craobh Haven: The village and marina were built some 25 years ago; the harbour created by ingeniously joining together a few small islands with a causeway, giving a stunning walk with frequent sightings of seals, sea birds, otters and eagles. There are wonderful views to the many Inner Hebridean islands and the famous Corryvreckan, the world's third largest whirlpool. Fishing boats work from the harbour and fresh seafood can be bought straight from the boats.

The Lord of the Isles pub has been newly taken over and refurnished, serves excellent food and is a WiFi internet point. Its windows and terrace offer spectacular views across the marina's many boats and harbour to the sea and islands beyond. The perfect place to 'ooh and aaah' at the unbelievable beautiful sunsets!

The village shop is well stocked and The Giving Tree gift shop/art gallery has successful exhibitions of professional local artists' work. The Lunga Riding Stables offer natural horsemanship from beautiful Appaloosa horses.

The property was clean and bright bottle of wine scones and jam were a welcome touch. Downstairs a little cold but fire on Sunday night welcome. Sitting room carpet is stained coule be renewed. .Good information given about the area and would recommend the property to others hopefully they would get better weather.

We really enjoyed staying at this cosy, beautiful and peaceful cottage. It had everything we needed. We were greeted with some wonderful scones. The house was clean and the facilities were just as they are described. We only had problems with the internet access.
It was the perfect location for us!

Mullach Dubh - like heaven in Craobh Haven

Mullach Dubh was the perfect accommodation for our holiday trip trough Scotland.
Our family (2 adults, 2 kids) really enjoyed the clean and fully equipped house. Craobh Haven is a very good base for trips at the west coast of Scotland.
If possible we will definitely come back some day...

Cosy, clean, well equipped cottage

A picturesque location, lots of things to do such as mountainbiking, a trip to Mull, beautiful walks along Crinan Canal. Oban is not far away and that's a wonderful place for holiday makers. Very well equipped kitchen. The pub at a stone's throw serves good food, very friendly staff. In the mini shop they also sell very good bread. We were two couples; very comfortable to have two bathrooms. Telephone was available when there was an emergency at home and my mobile didn't work. The Scottish people made us feel very welcome and the house contributed to that feeling. We happened to meet one of the owners, Louisa, and that made it more personal, too. We would absolutely recommend a stay at this very nice and clean cottage.

Nice little house in peaceful surroundings

The house was very clean and tidy, in particular the kitchen was fully equipped. The furnishing of the living-room was cosy and comfortable. All facilities as described, unfortunately the wifi didn´t work. The bedrooms and bathrooms were a bit small, but enough for us two people. Might get a bit too close for 4 people during a longer stay. Nevertheless a recommendable property for people who don´t need too much space.
Good Location for visiting Kintyre or the Isle of Mull.
The owners were very friendly and the communication was perfect.
Owner's Response: Oh - I'm so sorry, I've just realised you said the wifi was not working, and not the hifi!! Apparently the whole village was down because lightning struck our local mast, I'm so sorry it inconvenienced you Bettina!
