We opened our 'Cabin Condo' to rent and hope that you will enjoy the many things we love about it. We have met some fantastic people and it has been a wonderful experience.
Location is ideally suited for the NC High Country. You really are in the center of it all! Blowing Rock, Boone, Foscoe, Valle Crucis and Banner Elk all within 10-15 minutes.
Echota has won many homebuilder/best community awards since it's inception. Our gated Echota on the Ridge community has a resortish feel. Incredibly landscaped and awe inspiring views.
The views of the mountain ranges from our deck stretch 40 miles to the Tennessee mountains. Watch the clouds roll off the mountains to the west, the birds circling above the treetops, the wildlife below. You literally are on top of a mountain ridge with private, panoramic views from all rooms and deck.
Relax with a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine on the deck above the tree tops. The privacy of our place is unmatched within Echota.
The king bed is custom made from Pine and Aspen logs and is quite stately yet very comfortable. Two twin beds are in the charming guest bedroom and a brand new for 2015 leather reclining couch and games/cards suited for all ages. We have children too so we keep a lot of the kid 'necessities' at the condo. TV's are located in every room. Wifi internet. " Treasure chest" of toys and games for the kids.
Dip into the resort's (2) pools and hottubs. One indoor and one outdoor. We especiallly like the outdoor pool and hottub as it overlooks Grandfather Mountain on one side and has a cascading waterfall on the other. Outdoor kitchen/bar area for your convenience. Excellent workout center with latest equipment.
We use the rental management company located onsite at the base of the mountain so if any issues should arise they are quick to respond.

My wife and I wanted a cabin to escape the summer heat of Charlotte but fell in love with Echota on the Ridge on our first visit so we blended the convenience and amenities of a condo with the look and style of a cabin. It turned out to be the best of both worlds for us!
Mark purchased this condo in 2007
Ideal location for access to the High Country not to mention the pools and grand lodge feel of Echota. To escape the summer heat of Charlotte. As they say up in the mountains, 'Million dollar views.'
Peace, quiet and relaxation.
This place is simply fantastic. Perfect location. Stayed for a weekend of snowboarding on Sugar (really close, three rights and a left). Just far enough away from ASU and immediate area to relax, but close enough for dining out. Road leading to the property is steep with curves, but no worries, since on our last night, with just a mere mention of snow/ice from the local weather "experts", the roads leading out of the property were already treated with slag by the time, and probably well before our scheduled check out. With that being said, I would recommend having 4WD in the winter (owner advised the same before our booking).
Secure gated community with security (huge in my book). Clubhouse amenities were great and easily accessible with your assigned key. The indoor pool and hot tub were especially nice after full days on the Mtn. The condo itself is very clean and well took care of (two distinctly different issues if you think about it). The floor plan is great, as it feels much bigger than it is. The view, along with all the natural light from the many windows, was really nice as many winter getaway residences feel dark, cramped, and cold in my opinion. Kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals and the appliances were like new. I especially liked the abundance of counter space with plenty of outlets for all your charging/power needs. Bathroom/showers were clean and hot water was plenty. Bedrooms/beds were fine, the king in master was especially comfortable.
So, in conclusion, just stop looking at the other ones and rent this one now! We did and would/will again in the future if it is open.
It is our second time staying at this gorgeous place. We had great weather for skiing and hiking. The nice mountains view was refreshing every morning and romantic at night. The place is nice decorated and a very cozy to stay. it is very convenient to grocery stores, restaurant. The staff in the rental office are very friendly and very helpful.
We had a fabulous weekend staying at Echota on the Ridge! This was our second year coming out for a spring weekend, and we were not disappointed. We were able to ski (Sugar Mountain is very close), hike, and wander around the towns (Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad are all an easy drive). The views are spectacular, and our kids have a great time with the toys and movies available. The master bedroom is really comfortable, and the kids did well with the two twin beds. We haven't been there when the outdoor pool has been open, but the indoor pool is fun, kept at a good temperature and with a hot tub. The drive up the ridge is a little nerve-wracking for me, but the car handles it really well, and the views make it worth it. I hope to come back again next year!
This is a lovely condo and well appointed for a vacation whether it be a few days or a week as we did. The long-range mountain views from the master bedroom and living room are spectacular and change constantly with the time of day and weather. And the owners graciously contacted us by email after arrival to ensure all our needs were met.
This condo was perfect for our weekend getaway. It was very clean and tastefully decorated. We had plenty of room for our family of 5 and the views were outstanding. The resort is ideally located with plenty of things to do around the area. The owners are also very pleasant to deal with. We will definitely be back again.
We stayed for a month and enjoyed it very much. The owner was very helpful and friendly, and he does everything to make your visit a relaxing and comfortable one. The central location between Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk makes it easy for fun day trips. We like to play golf and hike and there's plenty of both in the area, but then we are ready to head home and enjoy the deck with a glass of wine! We'll be back !!
Great golf courses within 20-30 minutes. Several trout streams to fish including one right at the base of our mountain. World Class Antiquing and restaurants. Several nice half-day to day hikes closeby. Blue Ridge parkway with 3 different entry exits points within 10-20 minutes.
