Photos and Description of the Norfolk vacation house rental Country house meticulously renovated to offer a superb standard of accommodation

The house is an elegant grade II listed country manor standing in over 3 acres of private gardens incorporating a full size tennis court. The river Nar borders the estate. The house has recently been lavishly renovated and offers a luxurious venue for large groups of up to 14. ( For weekends only an air bed is available giving a maximum of 16 occupants.). The oldest part of the house dates from the Queen Anne period. It has been recently renovated and boasts a host of 'mod cons'. Two of the reception rooms offer an ideal space for adults to relax, while the entertainment room is designed for family orientated tv or video activities with its state of the art cinema system. This, combined with the well stocked games room, means there is an abundance of fun activities. The large kitchen is laid out for guests to get together in a communal manner, while the formal dining room forms the perfect backdrop for that celebratory meals in an atmosphere of comfortable opulence.

The seaside resorts of Hunstanton and Heacham boast Blue Flag award beaches and array of traditional seaside activities. Heacham (16 miles) is home to Norfolk Lavender. Sandringham Estate - the Queens country residence, with its Jacobean-style house, museum, superb gardens and park are open to the public when the Royal Family is not in residence. To the south lies Ely Cathedral standing proudly in the small city of Ely. Ely has an excellent Saturday market and a good variety of gift shops, as well as a pretty water front and boat hire. The historic city of Cambridge is easily accessible while the medieval town of Kings Lynn (4 miles), complete with handsome waterfront offers an array of good shops, inns, restaurants, theatre, cinema, bowling alley and a sports centre. It also offers regular train services to London (90 min) and has all the shopping you’re likely to require with all the major supermarkets located in the town.

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (British Pounds) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

Additional information about rental rates

  • A 10% deposit is required at time of booking.Bookings can be cancelled up to 3 months prior to arrival by either party at no cost and full deposit refund. Within 3 months of arrival the deposit becomes non refundable on cancellation. 4 weeks prior to arrival the remainder of the hire cost plus £600 security must be paid. Cancellation between four and two weeks is subject to a 75% cancellation fee of the total booking value. Cancellations within two weeks of arrival are subject to 100% cancellation fee of the total booking value leaving only the £600 deposit for refund.

    Note we expect the house to be left clean and tidy as only superficial cleaning costs are included in hire price (such as cleaning bathrooms and linen). A dirty house will incur an additional cleaning cost as will any stubborn stains or breakages etc.

    The security of £600 is refunded 5 days after departure following a satisfactory inspection of the property. Up till now all securities have been fully refunded.

Notes: There are two reception rooms (The Yelllow Reception Room and The Library). The kitchen diner is huge measuring 15m in length with a large central island making cooking a communal affair. The kitchen is stocked with an american style fridge freezer, numerous cooking utensils, two microwaves, two electric ovens, 5 aga ovens, 2 aga hot ring plates and a 5 ring electric halogen hob. For rainy days there is a games room with billiards, table tennis and table football plus a entertainment room which has state of the art surround sound and cinema projection for the full film experience (Only to be operated by responsible persons) . The three master suites are very large in size and contain a sofa, plenty of wardrobe space and have large en-suite washing facilities with baths and separate showers. The four further bedrooms are at least double size rooms with their own en-suite toilets and showers. Bedrooms 5 and 6 share a bathroom.

I stayed at The Grange with 14 of my girlfriends for my Hen Weekend in November - it was really fantastic! The house is amazing, beautifully decorated and had more than everything we needed for the weekend. The facilities were also great and we made good use of the entertainment room! Coming in November we didn't really get a chance to use the gardens but I will most certainly be coming back again to give the Tennis Court a go! I cannot recommend it highly enough and cannot wait to stay here again.

Trip to The Grange

We had a wonderful Bank holiday weekend with our friends and family at The Grange. The house is a perfect venue to enjoy time with a large group and has just about everything you could need and was better than we imagined it would be from the photos we had seen. I would definitely recommend it and we cannot wait to go again.

An elegant, comfortable and very spacious house. A perfect place to spend time with friends and family enjoying good company, delicious food and the finest wines known to man! The kids loved the house and garden and as we were lucky enough to have lots of sun we also got to visit all the great beaches on the north coast.

Great time at the Grange

We had a fantastic stay here, the pictures on the website don't do it any justice at all.

The place was immaculate, the kitchen fabulous & a really nice touch having the dinner table set up for us all ready.

There was a group of 14 of us for the weekend and we found the facilites spot on.

Dawn the house keeper was an absolute joy.

Comes highly recommended by us!

What an amazing weekend!!! The Grange is stunning and will provide anyone that visits with a stay that they will never forget. There is so much space for everyone to enjoy themselves, and if you want somewhere to go where you will feel truly comfortable and say wow round every corner this is it!! We didn't leave the house for the whole weekend. The dream kitchen was the place to be and when the weather turned good you couldn't get us out of the garden!! I would recommend a stay to anyone over and over again, and my friends and I....... well we didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back!! Thank you!!
