Situated on peaceful countryside plot outside Bodrum, Villa Tortuga makes an ideal choice for families and sports enthusiasts. The location is perfect for those wishing a central position to the many charms of the Bodrum Peninsula, with the setting framed by farmland and a quiet, natural view out on a small olive grove and hills beyond. You will be spoiled for choice when it comes to activities, starting with the private pool which has in-pool seating and poolside pergola to escape the mid day sun. A few steps from the private pool is a Beach Volleyball court (aka Kids' Beach) and a large grass lawn that lends itself to activities such as soccer or a sunset game of croquet. In the backyard you will find the organic vegetable gardens as well as the badminton and half basketball court. The lower front orchard is a maturing collection of fruit trees.

Located in the village of Ortakent, Villa Tortuga is centrally located on the Bodrum peninsula in the southwest corner of Turkey, making it a perfect base from which to explore the region. The peninsula is made up of many small villages, beaches, yacht harbours and historical sites which means there is no end of places to explore within a short drive. Ancient Halicarnassus, renamed Bodrum, is a vibrant, cosmopolitan town and has a wide selection of things to see and do. There are many sites of archaeological interest right in town : from the Roman amphitheatre to the Mausoleum of Mausellos. The seafront area is split into two bays by the Castle of St Peter. An hour ferry ride and you can be in the Greek islands, exploring Kos and beyond. There are many day trips from Bodrum the most famous being in Ephesus. Within walking distance from the house is a Golf 'Academy Course' - a driving range, 5 holes at par 3, and clubhouse bar & restaurant. The local beach is a short drive away.

There is room to put a travel cot in any one of the upstairs rooms. On the upper level can also be found a separate laundry room with sink, washer and dryer and ironing facilities.

Great area for long walks, quiet area with very few neighbour or noise sources (no busy roads etc). Bodrum Golf Club is one mile away (driving range, 5 par-3 holes, clubhouse & restaurant). Pool and grounds will be looked after by our gardener 3 days a week.
