15th Arrondissement Vaugirard Vacation Rental apartment

This apartment is fantastic. The owners have put a lot of though and energy into addressing the creature comforts of the traveler. The property is as advertised and in great shape. The property was well stocked with basic kitchen and bath needs. The property is very convenient to three metro lines and yet is in a very quiet neighborhood—there is almost no street noise. In the complex there is also a great food store and a separate pharmacy. We traveled with two teenagers who loved the place and the wireless access. It is also possible to get to this property on the train lines out of CDG! To get back to the airport we used the orange line--above ground line (terminus de tramway #3) from Port du Garigliano to Porte d'Ivry. From the apt you get on the train at Balard and get off at Cite Universitaire--cross the street to the RER B to CDG. There is an elevator at Cite Universitaire which made the luggage easy. The trains are timed so that if you go from the orange to the blue you wait less than 3 minutes for the blue train even in rush hour. The reverse process is simple as well.

We stayed in this apartment for 3 nights with our 2 kids from 15 to 18 July 2009. The apartment was absolutely perfect for us - a real home from home. The location was superb - less than 100 yards from a Metro stop and about 20-25 minutes stroll from the Eiffel Tower, with views of the tower from both bedrooms. There was a large supermarket on the ground floor which was perfect for picking up any necessary items. Boyd was an absolutely perfect host. He collected us from the airport and had prepared a most informative booklet for guests. This advised on local restaurants, had details of local activities etc etc. I would highly recommend this apartment.

Everything was perfect here. This place is great for anybody, we were a group of 2 mid-20s couples.

The experience began with the ease of payment, the owner took a variety of payment methods and we paid in USD via a deposit to his bank. The property manager called us a few days before to confirm our arrival time and she sat in the apartment and waited on us to get there, she then reconfigured the beds as desired and demonstrated the use of each appliance. The apartment was sparkling clean, had several extras there waiting on us that we did not expect including a few basic grocery items. The appliances were great, the beds could be modified to be 2 twins or a connected double in each room, the phone in the apartment worked perfectly for calling back to the US for free. We didn't even try the charge-and-use cell phone, but it was awesome that it was there. The wifi worked perfectly. The size of the bedrooms and bathrooms is unprecedented. Both bedrooms get a view of the Eiffel Tower, amazing! Leaving was simple and the whole process was well explained on the tour given at arrival.

The apartment is just upstairs from a huge grocery store, super nice in there. The other side of the lobby for the building is home to a huge outdoor food market. We had some fruit and amazing pastries there for cheap.

The owner and property manager are easily available the entire time by telephone or email. Everything is laid out in detail in a book when you get there, including restaurant suggestions within a few blocks of the place (we will definitely go back to Le Bouron).

The metro is 2 small blocks from the apartment, the area is very safe at night, and the trains come about every 4 minutes during the day and maybe every 8 at night. We never had to wait very long on the metro. It takes about 15 minutes from the time you leave the apartment to the stop for the Eiffel Tower or the stops to transfer to other lines. It's on the #8 line. We took the RER from the airport to the metro and then metroed to the apartment. On the way to the airport, because it was early in the morning, we took a taxi that was arranged by the owner so that the taxi driver was known to be reliable (and he was great).

We are recommending this place to ALL of our friends and when I come back to Paris, I expect to stay in this place. The price is good, the location is good, and the owner/property manager are EXCELLENT. You will not find a better deal for a 2BR, let alone a 2BR/2BA.
