Mulberry Tree Cottage is located in the heart of the Dordogne just 6kms to Les Eyzies and 25mins to Sarlat. Situated in the small hamlet of Carmensac Meyrals,There are beautiful wooded gardens to relax in and a superb 12x6m swimming pool for your exclusive private use with stunning views of open countryside. There is a large dining terrace to the back of the house as well as a veranda overlooking the courtyard to the front. Inside, the house is full of character and charm with oak beams and stone fireplaces. There are 3 large comfortable reception rooms,as well as a further room with a sofa bed. The kitchen is modern and well equipped. Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms 3 doubles,1 twin bedroom.2 ensuite wc bathrooms and bathroom wc 3 is separate. The onsite manager has an entirely separate cottage and provides daily pool cleaning and any assistance if required.Our July and early August 2009 guests have all booked on site for 2010 Please ask for our website or further photos on cd or emai

We are within a short driving distance of many fascinating historical sites, such as Les Eyzies and the caves at Montignac and the beautiful medieval town of Sarlat. There are stunning villages and chateaux to explore as well as the Dordogne and Vezere rivers offering fishing and canoeing. For wine enthusiasts we are close to the vineyards of the Bergerac area for wine-tasting expeditions and of course there are plenty of superb restaurants to experience the local cuisine. There is also a different local market situated in a nearby village or town for every day of the week!

  • For stays of less than a week (only available in the low or mid season), please contact the owner for availability and rates. A 25% non-refundable deposit is required with all bookings. A security deposit of Euros 200 is required on arriival, with the balance of payment 6 weeks in advance of the rental period. Rates are based on self-catering. A maid service is available on request at cost. The onsite estate manager is responsible for cleaning the swimming pool and for the upkeep of the gardens and outbuildings. We have 4 chickens and fresh eggs are provided free of charge (subject to availability).

  • The upstairs bedrooms provide under the eaves, beamed accommodation. All are furnished with good quality bed linen and beds and all have wardrobes and fans,The master bedroom is very spacious with higher ceilings, a kingsize bed and its own ensuite bathroom with bath, wc, sink and separate shower cubicle. Bedroom 2 has a double bed its own ensuite bathroom with wc and shower cubicle and sink, Bedroom 3 has a king size bed. Bedroom 4 has two single beds, Bedrroms 3&4 share a separate bathroom with wc ,shower cubicle and sink. All bedrooms have velux windows and wooden flooring with the bathrooms naturally having tiled floors. 2 quality baby cots are also available and can be placed in the bedrooms as required. So a total of 4 bedrooms 3 bathrooms with a total of 3 wcs upstairs. Downstairs has an additional private room with sofa bed and a further downstairs wc.

You have the benefit of massive gardens to relax in, just superb for the children and a large 12 by 6m salt water pool cleaned daily exclusively for your private use. It is in a charming location of the hamlet of Carmensac by Meyrals, but just a few kms away to the local towns of Les Eyzies and St Cyprien, also about 20 minutes to Sarlat.So you have all facilities just a short easy drive away. 3 familys this July& August 2009 have now booked again whilst staying at the property in advance for 2010 and in our first season this is a good indication of a delightful holiday home. All our guests have beeen pleasantly suprised by the spacious quality feel of the property, you have your own enormous swimming pool totally for your private use and very large area of gardens with views across open countryside. Pleasantly situated in a smalll hamlet but very close to all the attractions and facilities of this beautiful area of the Dordogne.
