REYKJAVIK APARTMENT

I highly recommend this apartment for anyone who is visiting Reykjavik. The booking process was simple and the owner was very responsive and easy to work with. The highlights for this apartment would be:

Location - Walking distance to many things to do and see. You are a less than two blocks away from all the shops and restaurants on Laugavegur including the Arctic Adventures office making taking any of their tours very easy to do. Your also a few blocks away from the downtown "going out" area. If you don't have a car or don't want to drive, this is an ideal location. This was also easy walking distance to the start of the Reykjavik marathon, coffee shops for WiFi, and there are couple of grocery stores only a few blocks away for those nights where you want to cook rather than going out.

Quiet - Other than the one big culture night following the marathon, the apartment was very quiet at night. Since we were participating in the culture night events, the noise on that day was no bother.

Amenities - 3 private bedrooms (not just sleeping areas), relatively large kitchen area, parking spot, large bathroom, and decently sized and well lit living room area. Overall a very comfortable apartment.

The cons:
Only one mirror in the apartment which is in the bathroom (the women in the party indicated this was a problem, the guys didn't seem to notice).
Some of the furniture is worn and well used
No WiFi.....but that wasn't so bad as there was plenty of free WiFi locations at the various restaurants and coffee houses within easy walking distance

Overall, if you're vacationing in Reykjavik, this is a great place to stay.

This apartment is ideally located within a short walk of Reykjavik's main downtown shopping street, the Old Harbour area & Harpa Concert Hall. My party of 6 were easily accommodated in the three bedrooms & the large living/dining area with full catering facilities made for a very enjoyable stay in Reykjavik. For those with their own transport, this is an excellent base for visiting such as Gullfoss, Geysir, Þingvellir and the Blue Lagoon.

Booking process & communication with Brian (the owner) was simple & efficient, with any queries responded to promptly.

Our stay in Reykjavik formed part of my first visit to Iceland, which I hope to repeat in the not too distant future. If you are considering a holiday in Iceland, I highly recommend this apartment as a base in Reykjavik.

This small appartment was very confortable with everything we needed. The beds were absolutly perfect and all appartment was very clean. The best part for us (youth) was the proximity of bars and club just 2 streets down the road. I recommand this appartment to anyone that enjoy living right in center of all activities! Thanks!
