A spacious farmhouse restoring an 18th century Maison de Maitre and an attached 16th century barn. Space and light abound, exposed stonework and oak beams. Includes 6 bedrooms en suite. Heated private pool (select times of year) and covered 50m terrace. Situated on a ridge with views of the Pyrenees, vineyards and rolling countryside. Inside the property has keep many period features yet renovated with luxury in mind. Walk in Italian showers, roll tops baths, plasma TVs, Wi-Fi access. Beautiful stone work, Gascoigne fireplace, open plan kitchen (with range cooker) and dining area with farmhouse oak tables and all mod cons. (including 42in flatscreen LCD TV)

Situated between the Pyrenees and the Atlantic Coast gives this area an ideal place to explore the local countryside. Gascoigne is the gourmet heart of France. Marciac Jazz Festival (the biggest in Europe and with big names, Jamie Cullum, Diana KIrall, Joe Cocker) first 2 weeks in august only 10 mins drive away. Mondebat area Golf at Chateau Pallanne only 15 min drive away. Beautiful views of the Pyrenees on this 18 hole golf course which winds around the 18th century Chateau. We are located in the heart of the St Mont wine region and next door to Armangac country. Plenty of places to try the local tipples with Foie Gras farmed all around. Lourdes is only a 40 min drive away. Atlantic coast only 1 hr 40 mins away to Hossegor the Mecca for surfing in Europe. Glitz and Glamour at nearby Biarritz with its boutiques and seaside restaurants. Bordeaux with its surrounding wine area is a wonderful day trip.

We loved it even more than we though we would!

The eight of us loved this place! It was recommended by a friend who was there last year and it was absolutely fabulous. The house itself is stunning and done to a very high spec, but the pool and the views really made it. I do not know if we got extra special service because of the recommendation, but Kath & Jim were fabulous helping us sort of transport, trips & dinners in the area. And the fact that the local vineyad has such good wine did not hurt either! We'll be back for sure.

Paradise in France!

I spend most of the year travelling and really look forward to a weeks holiday in France. I have stayed in the area around Bergerac a few times - this is the first time i decided to stay here, as a friend recommended it to me; and i have to say this place is absolutely fabulous!! The pictures on this site are great but nothing compared to the real thing! particularly the breath-taking views you see first thing in the morning as you step onto the patio! The house is spacious and everything has been decorated with taste and to a high spec. The owners Kath & Jim are friendly, know the area well and have all the information you could possible need for a great stay. Its easy to get here and the drive has nice views too! The local town isn't far and we enjoyed wandering around on Market Day and buying local produce for dinner. I would highly recommend it and its definitely somewhere i would go back to!
