Ideal for golfers this apartment is situated on Real Club de Golf Campoamor, an 18 hole course set in stunning surroundings amongst pine trees and orange groves, the courses of Las Ramblas and Villamartin are close by. There is a large supermarket, banks, chemist, internet cafe, restaurants offering various choices of cuisine and bars within walking distance. The Plaza at Villamartin also offers many shops and places to eat within 5 mins drive. Torrevieja is a 15 min drive with a beach promenade with plenty of places to eat, there is a water theme park close to the town. The old city of Orihuela is worth a visit as is Murcia with the cathedral of Santa Maria and the new shopping mall and football stadium. Cartegena is a 40 min drive where you can visit the old port and take in beautiful architecture.The nature reserve at San Pedro del Pinatar is a 15 min drive and is ideal for walkers and bird watchers

Notes: The apartment has a large open plan lounge diner, with a corner leather sofa and chairs offering seating for 7, the table can be extended to seat six for meals. The kitchen is fully fitted, and there is a washing machine, iron and ironing board. The balcony is south facing and has all day sun with views of the sea and the mountains, where you can sit and have breakfast in the early morning sun, and have your end of the day glass of wine watching the sun go down.The communal swimming pool is fenced and gated and is for sole use of the residents and has key access. There are tennis courts, which can be hired from the Golf Club. There are 3, 18 hole golf courses within 5 min, handicap certificates may be required, golf clubs can be hired. There are a varied choice of books and CDs to have the use of but we ask please do not remove from the apartment.

Ideal for golfers,situated on 18 hole golf course of Campoamor and within 5 mins drive of Las Ramblas and Villamartin [both 18 holes] handicap certificates may be required. Golf clubs and shoes can be hired,to book golf either go to club house or visit the golf factory where discounted green fees can be booked for groups or individuals. There many golf courses in the surrounding areas including La Torre and La Manga added to the many beaches, cities of interest and the salt lakes and the bird reserves this part of the Costa Blanca makes for a perfect destination for a relaxing holiday.

Golf: The apartment is situated on the Real Club de Golf Campoamor resort which offers a golf course set in stunning surroundings. This 18 hole course is situated between 2 valleys and the grounds amongst pine woods and orange groves, the fairways are wide which lends itself to good views of other golfers. The club offers a shop, lessons with a PGA professional, driving range, pitching green, hire of clubs etc. The course at Villamartin is also 18 holes, the course itself is varied although not long and the greens need careful reading, difficulties include having to avoid a natural precipice and several water hazards. Las Ramblas is another 18 hole course amongst mountainous grounds which makes for interesting play, many trees surround the course and water hazards. Accuracy is required. La Manga is a 40 mins drive and is a golf complex containing 3 courses designed to satisfy the requirements of most demanding players. Many international tournaments have been played here. Most courses ask for correct dress code and some ask for handicap certificates.

We really enjoyed our break in this apartment which we found to be modern, well equipped, clean and bigger than even the pictures suggest.
There are excellent local facilities close by and only a short drive to a variety of clean beaches.
We would not hesitate to deal with the friendly owners again and strongly recommend this apartment to others.

My wife and I stayed in John and Sophie's spacious luxury apartment in October on our second visit to the area. The apartment is set on by far the best development in the area, with a great golf course set amongst pine woods and orange groves only a few hundred metres walk away. We definitely wouldn't stay anywhere else in the region now. There are several forest tracks that you can use for jogging or a stroll if you are bored of beaches and the golf club building itself has a superb hill top setting and really good restaurant and bar open to all. With the Villamartin championship course 5 minutes away and the challenges of Las Ramblas even nearer, you could easily make a weeks golfing here without using a gallon of fuel in the hire car. Book your green fees ahead using a discount scheme, though as the price can mount up if bought locally. The apartment is set on a hillside, so there are uncluttered views over the Mar Menor as you laze on the huge balcony with the refreshment of your choice after a round or a day down on the beach. It's also a great place for breakfast as the sun comes up and not overlooked.
The apartment is very spacious, well-equipped, and is clean and well furnished. The development is quiet as very few apartments are holiday lets and when we used the pool we had it completely to ourselves for the day. We used the nearby supermarket which was well stocked. There is a spanish restaurant next to Aldi a but further down where we had excellent Paella and the Mongolian Wok restaurant in the Campoamor precinct is exceptional value for money Good local market for fresh produce just inland at San Miguel (don't miss the leather belt and salted cod stalls!) and much more shopping down on the Costa. We even went to Benidorm as we just had to see it!
A great base for touring also - as the motorway is just 10 minutes down the hill. Murcia is well worth a whole day and don't leave before Tapas time. Like us, you might want to avoid Torrevieja, but the smaller resorts can be surprisingly unspoilt and it is still possible to eat non-touristy local seafood at the beach cafes in Dehesa de Campoamor with Spanish voices all around.
We'll certainly be going back at some point in the near future as I have to tackle Las Ramblas! And thanks, John and Sophie - the wine in the fridge was a nice touch.
