A choice of two furnished 2-bedroomed apartments in St James Terrace, a modern, secure complex next to the sea on the False Bay coastline. Both apartments are let on a self-catering basis for short term stays or even for longer periods. Accommodating a maximum of 4 persons per apartment - ideal for 2 couples or small family. Each apartment has secure undercover parking for one vehicle.

Check-out / check-in times: Guests must check out no later than 10:00 on the day of departure to allow for a thorough cleaning of the apartment. Guests wishing to check out earlier than 08:00 are kindly requested to pre-arrange this with the owner prior to arrival. Check-in may be between 14:00 and 19:00 on day of arrival. Any other times outside the above are subject to prior arrangement and agreement.

I just had to leave a review following our wonderful stay at 28 St james Terrace.
The apartment is spotlessly clean and very well appointed. The views over the bay are to die for and there is nothing better than waking up to the sound of the sea.
All our dealings with Tom and Ceredwin were superb and professional and it was a pleasure doing business with them.
Do yourself a favour if your in this part of the world and stay at No 28.

The apartment at St James was the perfect location for a stay on the Cape Peninsula.
The views of the bay were out of this world, so much beauty and colour from every window. The presentation, quality of furnishings and every possible thing you required in the kitchen had been provided. The classic contemporary warm character created a perfect home from home in what can only be described as a unique location.
The owners could not have been more helpful.

This spotlessly clean, comfortable and spacious apartment within a secure development is a great base from which to explore a really lovely part of the Cape Peninsula. A few minutes walk from the laid-back fishing village of Kalk Bay, 28 St James Terrace has two bedrooms, each with adjacent bathroom and shower, a fully equipped kitchen, a balcony and large lounge with wonderful views over False Bay. Having a secure car parking slot in the garage below the apartment is extremely useful too. Fresh linen and fluffy towels are all part of the package, and on arrival we were pleased to find fresh milk in the fridge and a large bowl of fresh fruit with a welcome note from our hosts, Tom and Ceredwin. On mornings when we didn't venture out for breakfast to one of the many fine cafes within walking distance, we would sit on the balcony or in the lounge of this top-floor apartment, watching the local surfers, the ever-changing colours of the sea and one more than one occasion, pods of Southern Right Whales gliding by below our windows. Although satellite TV is available, we found the real views out of the windows far preferable!

Breakfast was usually an outdoors affair at Kalk Bay's best kept secret, C'est La Vie on Rosmead Rd, a superb little French artisinal bakery and coffee shop. When they were closed, Tribeca on Main Road did us proud. Harbour House, a terrific restaurant at, unsurprisingly the fishing harbour, is a real fine-dining experience, but without any pretension. No stay in the area is complete without a meal at the ever-reliable Theresa's at the foot of Boyes Drive: consistently excellent, always good value. The legendary Brass Bell Pub and Restaurant is also certainly worth a visit. Kalk Bay has any number of places to eat, art galleries exhibiting work from local artists, bric-a-brac shops, clothing stores, bakeries and of course the bustling fishing harbour. Walking to Muizenberg via the safe beach of St
James or the other way to Fish Hoek, is easy. Simon’s Town and Cape Point are further on round the bay, easily accessible by car. Going the other way, a trip to Cape Town is also pretty straightforward, especially after rush-hour. If you want to spend leisurely, unhurried time in a part of Cape Town which is less frenetic, less commercial and far more easy-going than the headline tourist areas, Kalk Bay is the place. We found staying at 28 St James Terrace made it just about perfect. Thanks, Tom & Ceredwin!

We enjoyed a very comfortable and relaxing stay, with the beautiful sea view that for me was very addictive. At every opportunity I would stand in the lounge and just stare. The best view was the reflection from the framed mirror of the bay and Simonstown. Your apartment was most beautifully furnished and fitted out - we never wanted for anything that we could not find.

I just want extend my sincere appreciation to you and Tom for the stunning accommodation that you provided for us during the holidays. Kalk Bay was absolutely stunning. It is a pity Cape Town is so far otherwise I would pop in whenever I need to de-stress.

The apartment is in a modern security complex called St James Terrace, located just off the Main Road that runs down the Cape Peninsula from Cape Town to Simon's Town. It is 27 kilometres from Cape Town CBD. A railway line runs parallel to the Main Road and St James Terrace is located almost halfway between the stations at St James and Kalk Bay. If one drives from Cape Town or from the airport, it is usually best to join the Main Road at or before Muizenberg, from where the route continues alongside the False Bay coastline. Follow the Main Road, passing through St James, until just before Kalk Bay. The entrance to St James Terrace (which is clearly marked) is on the right-hand side of Main Road between Leighton & Kimberley Roads. Access for both vehicles and pedestrians is controlled.
