Within the sound of the Abbey of Saint-Ferme bells, surrounded by vineyards and wonderful countryside, you will find this chateau (formerly a private residence for priests). The 18thC château has the typical Bordeaux style and is perfectly finished with 2 towers. The attention to detail is superb, retaining all the original features such as the stone and marble fireplaces, oak beams, wooden floors, and the original Gironde tiles. The decor is in the style that one would expect in this elegant property - cosy bedrooms decorated in a romantic style with delicately matched fabrics, drapes adorning the beds and windows and wonderfully designed en suite bathrooms. The accommodation comprises of 11 bedrooms (10 with en-suite bathrooms and 1 with en-suite shower room). Outside is a private pool, tennis court, and space to land a helicopter.

Nearest Airport: Bergerac at 50 Kilometres
Nearest Train: La Reole at 18 Kilometres
The chateau sits on its own in nine hectares of beautifully landscaped gardens with fishponds, trimmed hedges, trees and shrubs. Bordeaux is approximately one hour away. The coastal town of Arcachon, famous for its sand dunes, is approximately two hours away whilst the famous vineyards of St. Emilion are only 45 minutes from the chateau. Restaurants serving local cuisine are within easy access and, for the wine connoisseur, vineyards are in abundance. There is also an excellent choice of 18 hole golf courses all within easy reach of the Château. Markets can be found every day in all the local villages - supermakets and shops are also close at hand. We can arrange wine tasting, trips on the Canal including lunch, and coach trips to various famous towns and cities.

    - Security deposit: £3000. This is paid prior to arrival and will be refunded in full after departure subject to damage inspection.
    - Linen & towels: All linen and towels are included in the rental price.
    - Energy costs: Included in the rental price in the summer. Heating costs in the winter are extra.
    - End of stay cleaning: Included. Extra cleaning is charged to the client if the property is not left clean and presentable as found on arrival.
  • - The pool is open from end of May - October.

    Catering: A French Chef is available to come to the Chateau to cook for you.

Notes: Games room with French billiards. The grounds of the Chateau are beautifully maintained with shaped hedges, rose bushes, 3 ponds (complete with goldfish), and an area of lavender and vines. In addition there is the private pool with security alarm system, plenty of outdoor furniture, BBQ facilities and a fabulous terrace area that leads out from the kitchen. Activities include boules, croquet, and tennis (private tennis court). There is plenty of parking space and a landing area for a helicopter. Please note that pets are not allowed. All electricity, water, linen, towels, telephone, and daily maid service is inclusive in the rental price. A guided tour of a local vineyard to sample some of the best Bordeaux wines in the area is also included.
