This romantic villa has been in the family since it was built in the late 19th Century and was renovated in 2004. It's a two-story building and the ground floor has a lounge/common area, a social bathroom, a very large living room Moroccan style decorated with fireplace, a dining room and a fully equipped kitchen The top floor has 5 spacious bedrooms old-style decorated, (1 double bedroom en-suite, 2 double and 2 single) and 3 exquisite bathrooms. Self-catering, It's perfect for summer holiday rental, lodges one large family, two families of 4 or a group of 8, and is suitable for children of all ages. Next to it there is a large garden area which includes a patio with private entrance and parking, a terrace with barbecue grill, garden tables & chairs ideal for a romantic dinner, a pine tree area and the swimming pool area with a large private pool (12x6 meters) and pool house surrounded by palm trees. There are many pool recliners, chairs and parasols for you to relax

Located in Santana, 38km south of Lisbon, just 3km away from the ancient fishing village of Sesimbra, with its 13th century castle, known for all its beautiful beaches, narrow winding streets, fine restaurants, bars and nightlife. It's also close to Cape Espichel and its sanctuary (15km) where you can enjoy a spectacular ocean view, or to Aldeia do Meco (12km) with its fabulous beaches, or to Lagoa de Albufeira where you can have surf lessons, or to Azeitão (12km)an old town known for its cheese, wine route and 17th-18th century mansions, or to Portinho da Arrabida (20km) on the natural reserve of the Arrabida Mountains, which is one of the most beautiful places of Portugal, or to Setubal (25km) one of the major Portuguese cities. From here you can get to anywhere in the Costa Azul (Blue Coast) cause everything is so close. Hope you have a pleasant stay! Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency (Euros) unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Changeover day at Saturdays. Other days possible, except during summer months.
    The weekly rate includes pool and garden cleaning, maid service once a week, bed linen and towels changed. Also includes water, electricity and gas from June to September. Heating between October and May is not included. Extra charge for firewood if requested.
    There is a standard procedure of payment of a €500.00 damage waiver in cash collected upon arrival, kept until the end of the stay and refunded upon departure, after checking the villa, should the house be left with no damages.
  • The house capacity is for 8 ADULTS maximum. Exceptions made for children under 5. Extra bed will have to be requested. We also accept up to 4 people for a special rate. Please enquire.
    Check-in times are made on Saturdays between 5.00pm and 7.00pm and check-out times between 8.00am and 10.00am to allow the house to be properly cleaned upon arrival of other guests. I can be flexible on arrival time if you send me your travel schedule in advance.
  • Payment: A non returnable deposit of 30% of total amount is required to confirm booking. Balance settled 60 days prior to arrival. Wire Transfer.
    Last minute bookings full amount payable upon confirmation.
    There is a list at the house with emergency phone numbers. The house is equipped with an alarm system connected to a central.
    The property is insured against fire and other usual insurable perils but doesn't include guest’s personal belongings. Property damages as well as improper use of furniture and all other house belongings outside house perimeter caused intentionally or by guests negligent use are not covered by insurance, therefore is not allowed and entirely at guests responsibility.

Tour Guides Available in Sesimbra: Go visit José Maria da Fonseca wine cellar at Azeitão or the spectacular 16th Century Mansion - Quinta da Bacalhoa, and also its wine cellar. Cross the Sado river and watch the dolphins between Setubal city and Troia peninsula, one of the last remaining colonies in Portugal. Cape Espichel's Monastery and Arrabida's Monastery are a must see. Also don't miss the grottos at Arrabida.

Other Activities: Rent a boat in Sesimbra and enjoy the fishing experience for a whole day. Have scuba diving lessons. Have surf lessons at Lagoa de Albufeira

My friends and I were looking for accommodations in a place that reflected the culture and history of Portugal but yet offered all the conveniences of being close to Lisbon, near the beach, restaurants, local culture and a private pool. Quinta das Flores was the place. The furnishings and tile work throughout the house are magnificent. I sincerely recommend this lovely home to anyone wanting to experience real Portuguese culture with access to many other facets Portugal has to offer.

Perfect choice!

In my oppinion this villa is a perfect choice. Been there for a week with friends and it was a very, very nice holiday. The house is big and comfortable, with a good localisation, has a nice pool and very appealing old furnitures. Not far from Lisbon, not far from other touristic places, like Sintra, as well. Last, but not least, the owner of the house, Isabel, is a very nice person :)

Charm, Friends and Convenience near Sesimbra

The house is truly beautiful and very special--it's large, homey and filled with wonderful art and antiques. The pool and garden are lovely and Isabel, the owner lives right on the property and couldn't have been a more friendly, knowledgable host. The house is easy to find, right on the main road (although the narrow entrance/exit can be a little daunting the first few times!) Fantastic beaches are close by and there is excellent seafood in Sesimbra. We enjoyed it a lot!

A magic place

We have been in this amazing property last year on Easter holidays. We were a family of 9, 3 teenagers, 1 child and 5 adults including one senior Lady. We all had a wonderful time, once the house has a very positive and nice atmosphere. All the bedrooms were quite spacious, the swimming pool is very cool, and the fire place in the big living room was really magic and make us all feel very cosy.
