Extensively restored and reformed in 2007, Le Pont d'Ommoy offers a contemporary and luxurious living space inside and out, furnished with French country antiques. On the upper floors of the house comprise a total of five comfortable bedrooms, three of which have well appointed en-suite bath and shower rooms plus a further separate bathroom with shower. On the ground floor, the space is open and light. All reception areas have WI-FI Internet and switchable zoned music speakers from a central console which is iPOD or laptop compatible. There is a large reception hall, a vast sitting room, a state-of-the-art bespoke kitchen, WC, utility room and large dining room with five fold back french doors leading straight out onto the geothermal heated swimming pool (10m x 5m /26 deg.) with shower and WC facilities and a unique barbeque area, all presented in a superb social space. A delightful formal courtyard and high walled boundary giving seclusion and privacy sets off the property.

Le Pont d'Ommoy is a tiny hamlet just outside of the village of Fontaine les Bassets, near the town of Trun with it's local amenities. Set in the Dives Valley - also known as the Falaise Gap - there are many historic sites and memorials dedicated to the final Battle of Normandy in 1944. Falaise, birthplace of William the Conqueror, with it's chateau, charming bars and restaurants (15 mins) is the gateway to the Suisse Normande. St Pierre sur Dives (20 mins), has a diverse farmer's market held every Monday. The cathedral city of Caen (35 mins), offers many shopping and leisure activities. Into the Orne, the picturesque town of Argentan (20 mins) provides many supermarkets and shops. Le Haras du Pin, France's national horse stud (25 mins) is open to the public every day with a horse and rider display every Thursday. Slightly further afield (1hr) are the famous Normandy D-Day landing beaches, Bayeux, and the sophisticated coastal towns of Deauville & Trouville and the port of Honfleur.

  • Unless otherwise specified on our availability calendar, our change-over day is now Friday.
    In order to help you relax and settle into your holiday accommodation, Stuart and Kiel may be able to offer you a four course evening meal on the day of your arrival at a set price of 30,00 EUR per person including wine. Children, vegetarians and dietary needs are happily catered for. Advance notice is always required for these. Please do not hesitate to contact us direct for further information and example menus or to book.

    Maid service is also available on a daily basis and is charged at 12,00 Eur's per hour (min two hours daily), payable direct to the maid.
  • A 20% booking deposit is required to secure your booking with the final balance payable 6 weeks before the rental period commences. In addition to this, a security deposit of 750.00 GBP will be requested. Providing no damage or loss has occurred, the security deposit will be reimbursed in full within two weeks following departure of the rental property. For rentals that are booked within 6 weeks of the start date, payment of the rental period plus security deposit is required in full. If you have to cancel your booking at any time before the six week period, we will retain your booking deposit until we have been able to re-book the accommodation. If the accommodation is subsequently re booked at a lower rate, we may deduct the pro-rata difference from your booking deposit. If we are unable to re-let the property or/and if you cancel within the final six week period, we regret that your deposit or any other monies paid (except security deposit) cannot be refunded.
  • Pets are considered and well behaved pets with responsible owners are very welcome. We do not charge extra for pets. Please let us know in advance.

Notes: Kitchen facilities also include; Integral Neff deep fat frier, Neff plate warming drawer, Miele integral steamer, Liebherr full height drinks fridge with three temperature zones, two Neff double electric fan ovens. There is a central music stack system with four switchable speaker zones throughout the ground floor with the possibility of laptop or iPod connection. The pool is heated by a geothermal system and remains a constant 26 degrees. Pool cleaning is included. In the field adjacent to the house are our pet donkeys which children are welcome to feed. The property is fenced and gated with automatic opening and entryphone providing security and privacy during your stay. There is an outside games salon with pool, darts, boules, badminton and table tennis. A large grassed area adjacent to the pool offers further space for ball games. Board games and cards are also available in the house. We regret that beach towels are not provided.
