This lake house/cabin is absolutely beautiful. Lets start on the inside..the pictures on here do not do it justice. It is much larger then we were expecting which was great for the amount of people we had. More beds than we originally thought as well. The house is decorated beautifully. Very comfy and homey feeling. The living room and the "bed" room as we like to call it because it is perfect for tons of kids to all crash in, have wonderful views of the lake. The owners of the lake house really take care of you. It is stocked with everything you need to cook large dinners. The air conditioner was having issues and they had someone out an hour after we called!!!
Outside....there are two wonderful large porches with tons of seating room and tables. Tons of fans to keep everything cooled off. Then you have the grilling area outside. Almost a full kitchen.. We have the best bbqs and great place to hang out! The view of the lake from both porches and the grilling area is perfect. One porch has more than enough room that we put a kids pool out there for the little ones to play in and all adults could sit around the pool and watch the kids play. The dock has everything you need to enjoy your time out on the lake. Everyone enjoyed relaxing and fishing off the dock. To our surprise, we caught tons of fish. Of course they were little ones but that was all we wanted. We even have a 4 year old catch her own fish. It was such a great time.
What to do around the area...there is a marina not far from there that you can rent boats and jet skis. We rented a few plontoon boats for everyone and it was so nice being able to pull up to the dock to let people in and out and get supplies. The dock has plontoon boats, speed boats and one jet ski you can rent. I would highly recommend calling the marina before to make sure the days and times they are available. They were reasonably priced as well.
Overall, the time we spent there was 10 times better than we could have imagined and we are all looking forward to going back again as soon as possible. This place is everything you could want in a lake house and more. Especially if your dealing with a larger group. You can all have your own space and not feel crowded and have a great time.
