Our Red Sea villa with pool is in the unique resort community of El Gouna (20 minutes north of Hurghada airport). The villa is designed in the traditional Egyptian Nubian style, with vaulted and domed ceilings, is attractively furnished and has marble flooring throughout. It has 3 bedrooms and accommodates up to six - perfect for families and groups. It is air conditioned, with 2 bathrooms, 4 sun terraces and a lagoon beach. There are 6 cushioned sun-beds, a shaded pergola, parasols and a built-in barbeque poolside. The resort offers Red Sea diving, world class kite-surfing and a PGA golf course, and of course, virtually guaranteed year round sunshine! El Gouna marinas and downtown provide a wide variety of bars, restaurants and shopping and are easily accessible. Cultural trips to Luxor, The Nile, Cairo are easily arranged. A host of other activities are possible from desert quad-biking to night clubbing in Hurghada, or just a leisurely boat trip around El Gouna's lagoons.

Getting there: The closest airport is Hurghada and transfers take about 20-30 minutes. Flights are operated by a variety of airlines. Transfers can be arranged on request. The cost is £15 for a party of 2 and £20 for larger parties (each way).

Transportation: Car Hire is not required unless desired, the resort is self-contained and there is a variety of cheap transport available with a simple free phone call to the resort internal exchange numbers: Bike Center - Scooter and bicycle rental. El Gouna Limousine - car and limousine rental service, also taxi service. Shuttle Bus & Boat - purchase a ticket prior to boarding the bus or boat shuttle, or on the bus. Tickets are available from the Info Center, any hotel's front desk, the Kafr boat jetty, or at sales points around El Gouna. Daily ticket: 7 LE, Weekly ticket: 30 LE. Hurghada Shuttle - buses depart from Tamr Henna station every 20 minutes starting at 7am. Last bus leaves at 1:30am. Tok Tok - environmentally friendly mini-cab will pick you up from any location and take you anywhere in El Gouna. One way trip 5 LE per person (most Tok-Toks seat up to 4 people)

Climate: El Gouna is blessed with blue skies and virtually all year round constant sunshine. This, mixed with cooling north to south sea breezes, makes El Gouna an excellent year round destination. July and August can be very hot, (although cooled by breezes), spring and autumn are ideal. During winter months minimum daytime temperatures are typically 18-21C, making for a perfect winter break.

Our perfect holiday

We have just spent an amazing fortnight at this villa in El Gouna, and the only problem we had was that we had to come home! The villa is lovely - clean, comfortable and very well-equipped. El Gouna is so peaceful, and everyone who works there has a real sense of pride, and a real desire to make your holiday perfect. We found it very easy to get into the marina area in the evening, and found so many excellent restaurants that were all very reasonably priced. We spent most of the days by the private pool in our own little paradise, but we also went on some trips including Cairo, swimming with dolphins, snorkelling, diving and a trip to a nearby aquapark, all arranged through the property management company.

The owner was extremely helpful prior to the holiday, giving us all the information we needed to ensure that everything was perfect during our stay. We really had the best holiday; what more can I say! We've been back less than a week, and have booked to go back already!

We had 3 great weeks in this nice villa in El Gouna. The villa is clean and well-maintainded - the pool and the outdoor area are fantastic. We can recommend this location absolutely. You find a variety of exellent restaurants in El Gouna for dining or you can cook in your "home" - the kitchen and the barbeque station invite you. We are sure to come back again - a big thank you to the owners for their hospitality.

We had a great holiday in this lovely villa. The house is very spacious and cozy. The yard and the pool are very nice too. Beds are big and comfortable. El Gouna is a lovely city. It is clean and everything works there. It is also quite small and getting around is easy. Few of us did a day trip to luxor. Communication with the owner was very good. We can sincerely recommend this villa. Thank you!

A little piece of paradise

Excellent accommodation situated in a quiet location. The villa has everything you require with a superb swimming pool overlooking the lagoon. Travel around this premier resort is easy especially by Tok Tok; something you must try if you have never experienced one before! The wealth of cuisine in the resort makes eating out a pleasure, and it’s cheap compared to the UK. Reasonably priced supermarkets in the Downtown area store all the basic essentials. We had excellent communication with the owners, nothing was too much trouble. We will be coming back again and again, and again!
