Beach, Pismo Beach,Avila, and San Luis Obispo. I am a certified Yoga Instructor, and am willing to teach gentle, restorative, children's, Power Yoga upon request. I do have a private yoga studio on the property. I love this space, it is just enough distance to get away from the hustle and bustle of everything; yet you are close enough to enjoy the movies, the beaches, shopping, and restaurants. We are fortunate to have a large beautiful pool, so you can enjoy the sun with out the fog of the beach when it sets in.Our home is compfortable and lived in. Any family would hopefully feel right at home here. We have laundry facility to help out mom. I always rent a home now when we travel, it helps so much and I love it much more than any hotel....We have several fruit trees on the property. Fuji apple, plums, and peaches. We also have a rasberry bush & rosemary herb, and in the process of starting a larger vege garden to add to our red lettuce, broccoli, and tomatoes. These fresh items will appear in spontaneous baskets of treats for you during your stay.
We also have a larger home on the same property, sleeps 6-8. This is our family home, that we rent out when we travel. It is rented on a very limited basis, usually holiday's only. This is 4 bedroom, 5 bath. Dishwasher, laundry, and use of pool & jaquzzi.
This is $550. a night, plus tax and a security deposit.THis 5,000 sq ft home is an old school house, built in 1891. Wood floors and high ceilings, a homey comfortable spot for travel. Both units are very special, please call if you are interested. 805-459-1621 Diane

Diane Puhek purchased this farmhouse in 2000
We live in this home, and feel it is such a blessing and a unique place to live we want to share it. We love to travel and hope to fill our home with people who appreciate to travel and stay in cozy homey places.
Well, beacuse we live here, sometimes we take it for granted. The frogs lul us to sleep at night, the birds sing all day every day. The micro climate weather is awsome especially when you hear it is socked in and foggy at the coast. The space is nice, privacy and mature trees surround you. The kitchen is open and airy and relaxing to bake in.
The BBQ is next to the pool, and is a perfect set up for entertaining family and friends.Sitting in the warm jaquzzi at night under the stars is one of our families favorite traditions. We have raised beds that grow our kale, broccoli, beets, carrots and we have fuji apple trees....100 of them:)
While this was in a very pleasant setting, we feel that there was room for improvement in the small details. This is a charming quiet property that was very convenient for our purpose of being in the area.
However, it seems like the owners were not prepared for us. When we called to say we were in the area, they mentioned that the previous guests had just left and that things would not be ready for a while. We spent a couple of hours over lunch to give them some time.
It would have been nice for there to have been toiletries for the shower. Towels were not made available to us until the next day but there were a couple of "pool" towels that we used.
The kitchen was stocked with pots and pans as well as with plates and flatware. But it was thrown together and not made easy to find what one might need to prepare a meal. Not conducive to home cooking if that is what you might anticipate.
Our big concern was the bed. With two in it, it sagged and was not comfortable.
Diane and Mike we fantastic hosts and their property was pure paradise. The barn feels private and has everything you'd need and lounging by the pool was serene and lovely. Diane is a great cook (take her up on her offer to cook) and is happy to be as available as you do or don't want. We will definitely return.
Our family enjoyed a lovely stay over Easter and spring break. Diane, Mike & family were so welcoming & hospitable, from fresh flowers and a hand written welcome note to a bag of treats for our kids, to homemade and delicious lemon bars! The guest home is super comfortable, has all the conveniences of home and is beautifully appointed - modern, comfortable and homey. We all enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Sitting on the balcony in the morning and drinking our coffee while overlooking the beautiful green view was a favorite thing to do throughout our stay. And the kids loved having plenty of space to spread out, roam & explore. Diane was more than willing to share ideas of things to do in the area and gave us a great idea for what turned out to be one of our favorite outings - Avila Farm, as well as the playground at Avila Beach. Overall, a wonderful experience and very accommodating & gracious hosts! We would certainly return for another visit.
I was one of the first guests to stay in this beautifully furbished guest house on a spectacular property. It is elevated and has a view of the property, the interior decor is fresh and has everything a self-contained guest house requires: great couches, a bath, all kitchen facilities, comfortable bed and linens and the patio and pool of course top it off. Diane and Mike made my stay so enjoyable, especially seeing as I was travelling with my little baby, they treated us like family, visiting farmers markets, beaches, yoga studio's and shops. The setting is tranquil yet accessable to the lovely surrounding towns and SLO. I would recommend this guest house to anyone. Diane and the family are a wonderful example of Californian hospitality.
Pismo Beach is a short 8-10 minute drive. Surfing is incredible here. Paddle boarding is popular as well, in Avila Beach, where the water is more calm. Beautiful San Luis Obispo is only 20-25 minutes up the 101. Restaurants and shopping, theatre, and Cal Poly.
Trader Joes is a short 5 minute drive in to the town of Arroyo Grande. Arroyo Grande also has cute antique shops, and garden shops to strool through if you are in the Village.
We do allow house trained dogs......non barkers.
please feel free to call if interested, I do not always get the vrbo listings sent to my e mail.
