|Minimum Stay||2 - 3 nights|
This four bedroom vacation home is perched on a bluff overlooking Rockaway Beach, with stunning ocean views and plenty of space for a family (or two) to spread out and enjoy quality time at the beach!
The three-level home has panoramic windows and multiple outdoor decks to make the most of the beautiful views. The main level is mainly comprised of a great room with a large living area, full kitchen, and dining area in one open space, making it easy for everyone to gather together and socialize. The living area has two plush sofas and two leather armchairs, perfect for hosting an impromptu movie night on the new 55 inch Smart TV with DVD player after a long day of hiking, fishing, or kite-flying. The views in this room are so excellent that a telescope is provided for whale watching.
The full kitchen is well-equipped for preparing meals, including a dishwasher and island with four barstools. A five-person dining table sits in the corner near the floor-to-ceiling windows. Out on the deck, a gas grill is provided for barbecues, and nothing tastes better than fresh-caught fish on the grill!
Families vacationing together will appreciate the house's TWO master bedrooms, each with a king bed, attached bath, and private deck -- plenty of privacy for couples to enjoy. A third bedroom has a queen bed, and the fourth has both a full bed and a twin, making it great for kids or extra guests. Altogether, the house can sleep nine very comfortably, but please be aware that there are plenty of stairs and a somewhat steep driveway, so it may not be ideal for those with limited mobility. Also, please note that the home does not currently have WiFi due to provider issues.
While the house's views are stunning, its location on a bluff makes the walk to the beach too steep for most. Still, it's a very short drive (just 3/4 of a mile) both to the sandy beach and the center of town, with its charming selection of restaurants and shopping.

The house is a little hard to get to but the directions they give are the best way of getting there. It sits high above the other houses and gives you beautiful views all around not only the ocean. The house is amazing and fit the 9 of us great. Plenty of space so nobody was in anybody's way until we were all trying to help cook lol kitchen is big just not for 9 people. We had an amazing weekend at this house and will be staying again. Thank you!
A little tricky to find at night but so glad we picked this place to stay for a couple of nights while we helped my grandparents move. Parking is a little tight, but the house was great for our group. Entry level featured the garage, laundry room, bedroom with Queen bed and a full bath. Downstairs was what we called the kids' room (twin and double beds) and off of that was a separate bedroom with King bed and half bath. (A door separates the two bedrooms.) Upper level has living, dining, kitchen, bedroom with King bed, and a full bath. Kitchen had several small appliances including waffle maker, coffee maker, mixer, popcorn maker, blender, etc. Suggest you bring hot pads, cling wrap, spices, sandwich bags and the like. The rest of the kitchen was pretty well stocked. Beds were reasonably comfortable, though there was a waterproof mattress pad on our bed downstairs that gave us the sensation of slipping right out of bed. Bathrooms and bedrooms were very clean, but most of the floors needed a good sweeping/more thorough vacuuming. Found a couple of sad-looking brooms so we did our best and vacuumed a little. There is an extra twin mattress and box spring in the garage. Would be nice to have had some extra folding chairs for using at the table for meals, but some of us just sat at the kitchen island. Would definitely stay here again if we had it to do over. Worked out great and was nice to be able to see the ocean in spite of the fog that rolled in on occasion. Although we didn't have babies with us, I did notice a baby gate which is a must with all those stairs. There is Wi-Fi there now and the flat screen and Blu-Ray player worked great.
I'm easy to please, but this house definitely exceeded my expectations. The surrounding neighborhood felt very modern and clean and it almost feels like you're up in the clouds. Very peaceful setting. I even saw some whales migrating from where I slept!
Went down to Rockaway for just a short stay but wish I could of stayed longer. The house was a little tough to find as it was at the dead end of a couple curvy roads but was well worth the drive. The view from this house is amazing, plenty of deck space to take it all in and the house is huge for large gatherings.
Overall, the house was great. I loved how each couple had their own floor for sleeping. the view of the ocean was good. Would have been nice to have Wifi. Not too far to the downtown area or the beach. Don't shop at the Myrtle wood place in Garibaldi, very rude owners. Rockaway Beach is awesome.
