Photos and Description of the Stoupa vacation rental A fully equipped self catering apartment only steps from the sea

Our apartment is on the ground floor of one of the four houses first built in Stoupa, a village on the Mediterranean Sea. Looking at the photo, the tile-roofed house is right in the middle of the arc of the bay. It is literally only a few metres from the sea; in fact sand from the beach was used in its construction. The beach beckons first thing in the morning when the village is just waking up until the sun sets over the mountains in spectacular colour. Listening to the gentle waves one cannot help but relax and feel serene. There is a bedroom with two beds, a fully equipped kitchen with eat-in area, a living room which gives off to the garden area, and, of course, a bathroom with shower. It's comfortable and because we live here all year round, kept in good condition.The property is gated and there is plenty of room to park on the premises. There are fruit trees (oranges, lemons, pomegranates) as well as olives in the garden.

The province of Mani in which Stoupa is situated, has interesting walks and sights readily available: the caves of Diros, Sparti, Olympia, Mycena to name a few.Local and tourist transport is easily arranged. Because Stoupa has been a desirable tourist destination for many years, the infrastructure exists to cater to a variety of needs and tastes. So, whether you're looking for beach and relaxation, visiting archaeological sites, enjoying new friends over dinner, getting some daily exercise by biking, sailing or swimming, shopping for a special gift or memento - you can do it here! And, it's not necessary to rent a car.Grocery stores, dentist, doctors, pharmacy, tourist offices, hair salons, cafes and restaurants are all within walking distance. The Taygetos Mountains form the backdrop of the village and in between the sea and mountains are olive groves: very pretty landscape. In April/May you will also see a terrific display of wild flowers.
