Just one mile from the University of Oregon, Meadow View is perfect for visiting the U of O. So close to campus yet in a lovely, quiet residential neighborhood. The Meadow View property is across from a beautiful oak savanna which 50 years ago was the back 9 holes of Laurelwood Golf Course and today is undeveloped parkland. The street is one lane and dead ends 6 doors from Meadow View where the the city's Ribbon Trail system, a jewel for runners and walkers, begins. In addition to its close proximity to the University, Meadow View is just minutes from the Matthew Knight Arena, Hayward Field, Hendricks Park, restaurants and downtown.
Bright and spacious, the master suite is newly remodeled with a clean, modern feel. With a private entrance and private patio area, you will feel like you are in your own retreat while you are a guest at Meadow View. The cottage is a few steps away at the upper level of the property featuring a full kitchen, vaulted ceiling and skylights. Guests who have stayed there have described it as private, quiet and cozy and it has gotten rave reviews over the years.
You'll find the kitchen supplied with the makings for a basic breakfast - organic fruit, yogurt, granola, oatmeal, coffee and a variety of teas. Prepare these at your leisure and enjoy breakfast on the front patio if you wish.
Relax and enjoy our 'front 40', the oak savanna, good walks in the woods leading into Hendricks Park. There are maps available of the trail system and more, allowing you to get out and explore all that Eugene and Lane County have to offer.
One recent guest said: 'Loved the location and ease of getting around from this beautiful neighborhood to the university campus. After spending time hiking, visiting, shopping and of course, eating at the great local restaurants, I came back to a delightful and peaceful place to rest. The owner was gracious and attentive and I felt welcomed and cared for through the many thoughtful touches she has provided both indoors and outdoors. Will return again!'

I am a long time Eugene resident and now an empty nester. I love this home, especially the gorgeous location and enjoy sharing it with visitors. I love being able to walk out my door and have a good hike through grassy knolls, fern and fir forests and sun-dappled oaks. I like to share the beauty and tranquility of this site and offer it to you for your fun and pleasure.
Peace and quiet. Location.
The master suite unit is lovely and spacious with beautiful hardwood floors, built in bookshelves, a modern kitchen prep area (with sink and refrigerator) and an exceptional bathroom. Everything in the suite feels new and the finish and design choices are absolutely lovely. Dralyn was wonderful to work with and has added so many warm and inviting touches to the space. This is our second time staying in the master suite and we're hoping we'll be able to come back again in the not too distant future!
The Master Suite is the perfect place to stay in Eugene! Incredibly convenient to downtown and the UO, it feels private and secluded, close to walking trails (we saw several deer on our daily walk!), with lovely accommodations. Dralyn was extremely hospitable, providing delicious organic coffee, fresh fruit and granola. We enjoyed our stay immensely!
We have just enjoyed a weekend at the cottage. It is very clean and comfortably cozy, making it so easy to slip into relaxation for the weekend. What an amazing variety of good food and shops so close to the cottage. We felt in town but in the country at the same time. Dralyn was excellent in staying in touch but allowing privacy. This is an amazing little nugget in Eugene. Mike and Marlena
It's no surprise that winter weather in central Oregon can be gloomy and cold. It hardly seemed to matter as I sat gazing from this property's warm living space onto the dramatic oak woodland meadow through an expansive south facing window. The window caught every bit of sunshine to be had and, even when it was cloudy, the park-like view beckoned me to get out and explore. There are beautiful hiking trails just outside the door and yet the property is within walking distance of town.
The room was beautiful, spacious and clean with all the amenities necessary to cook, relax and function. It was perfect for my needs. I stayed a few days while helping my child get settled at the nearby college. We could do light cooking, get into town easily, use the internet, and rest comfortably. It was great and I would happily return.
We return to Eugene for business and to visit family 2-4 times each year. We always return to the Meadowview! The location is perfect for getting around, yet is a little like quiet country on the dead-end street. We like the proximity to the walking trails into Hendtricks Park. We've stayed in the Master and the Cottage and love them both. Both places have been recently remodeled and feel fresh and new. It is our Eugene home!
The Cottage and Master Suite are ideal places to stay in Eugene! This was at least our 3rd or 4th visit in the past 1 1/2 years. We were in town for Thanksgiving and the Civil War. We rented both units for our family; my husband and I stayed in the Master Suite and our young-adult kids stayed in the Cottage...a perfect arrangement! Everyone had room to relax and unwind. Both units are handsomely decorated and care is taken with the special details....plush towels, uber soft sheets, nice dishware, etc. Our family loves this property and we look forward to our next visit!!!
We are walking distance to the University of Oregon and Hayward Track, along with many good neighborhood restaurants, bakeries, ice cream shop. The area is one hour to the ocean, to the mountains for skiing & hiking, and to the McKenzie and Willamette Rivers for fishing and hiking. There are hiking/walking trails just steps from the property which lead into Hendricks Park or longer distances like to Spencer Butte.
