Remember your childhood memories of wonderful Northern Michigan summers, or create new ones with your family. Our 5 bedroom, 2 bath home is full of historic charm. Newly renovated home, built in 1898 with original wood flooring and claw foot tub are sure to make your stay right in the village of Lake Leelanau one you will always remember.

Our home is situated on a corner lot in Lake Leelanau which is a stones throw away from the brand new Boathouse Winery (among many other wineries in Leelanau County) Pedaling Beans Coffee Shop, Dick's Pour House (reasonably priced tavern) boat launch, bait shop, boat rentals, grocery store and shopping.

It is also only 5 miles away from the town of Leland, a charming small town with a spirit you have to experience to believe. In Leland you will find the infamous Fishtown, which boasts a candy store, Cheese Shop sandwiches (which are to die for) a plethora of shopping, fishing charters, boat trips to the Manitou Islands, restaurant and even a small park for the kids. Up in the town of Leland you will find cute boutiques, grocery, family owned bar and breakfast hang out, tennis and basketball courts.

We are also about 5 miles away from another quaint town, Suttons Bay. Suttons Bay offers a movie theater, ice cream shop, several restaurants and bars, and more unique shopping.

The Sleeping Bear National Lake Shore was voted 'The Most Beautiful Place In America' by Good Morning America and is a lovely, scenic 35 mile drive form our home.

The home is fully furnished. We supply all linens, pillows, towels, paper towels, and toilet paper. The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, dishes and all pots and pans. We also provide a washer and dryer.

The main level features a large open kitchen with an over-sized table for big family meals. We have a full bath and two bedrooms, one with a king sized bed and the other with two double beds. Also on the main level is a large living room with a pull out sofa, a small area with toys and books for the kids and a large screened in front porch.

On the second level we have three more bedrooms, one with a king sized bed, one with a queen sized bed and the third has two twins. This floor also has a full bathroom.

This home is ideally suited for a large family or several families together looking to build life long memories.

The house was perfect. We were in town for our son's wedding and had a large group with us. We also had visitors and it was perfect. It was clean and very spacious. We also brought our boat and docked it down at the public access just behind the house. Our family loved it and want to know if we can do it again next summer. The location is perfect, just a short drive to Traverse City. The wine tasting next door was great. The little grocery store down the street had all the little things we forgot to pack. Alot of things to do but we ran out of time as usual. I guess we will have to do this again next summer. Thanks so much!!!

Had a wonderful time in Leelanau County and this clean rental was a great place to come home to. The location was perfect for all the activities that we like to do. My kids actually had a fishing pole by the back door that they used every morning and evening down at the public access at the end of the road. The cottage had plenty of room and comfortable beds with air conditioning. Across the street is a brand new winery that was fun to visit, and there is a great coffee shop just over the bridge. Also try the pizza at "Dick's Pour House" across the street. I would recommend this house and we will be staying there again.
