We stayed in this apartment last February and had a wonderful holiday. The apartment is lovely - well equipped and very nicely furnished. Access to the cable car is really easy and the village itself is beautiful. There are loads of good bars and restaurants (including a fab Italian that we ate at twice!), as well as a great leisure centre, all within a very short walk. Our group included 17-24 year olds, who even found a lively nightclub in the village.
Skiing was fantastic - our family are of mixed ability, and all of us were able to find exactly what we were looking for: Alpes d'Huez is great for beginners and the advanced skiers amongst us were very happy with all the challenging black runs (one of them is the longest in Europe), all accessible without having to drive anywhere.
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment, and this area, as a great place for a family ski holiday - we hope to go back there ourselves very soon!
