Marbella is well known because of its pleasant micro climate. While the rest of Europe battles wind, rain and snow, Marbella enjoys an average twenty-six days of sunshine each January. Rainfall is scarce and temperatures mild. In fact, the mercury nudges into the early teens throughout the winter months.

With less than fifty days of rain per year, draughts often threaten in the summer months. The typical rainy season lasts just four months, stretching from November to February. But even when umbrellas and raincoats are the order of the day, the thermometer rarely dips below a mild 13º C from December to March.
