House, 6+ Bedrooms, 3+ Baths, (Sleeps 4-23)

This is brand new in 2013 right in town 6 bedroom 3 full bathroom plus day bed in upstairs foyer, central air, jetted bathtubs and an outdoor shower right in town that sleeps 6 to 23 people, big open floor layout on first floor. There's 6 bedrooms (17 beds total when including the slide out trundle beds). Large sectional sofa in the living room. Seating for 16-18 at meal time, 10 - 14 at dining room table, 5-6 more at kitchen bar, and seating for 12+ on living room sofas, kitchen also has an island for food prep and serving, hanging wine rack above kitchen seating bar area.

House is ideally located to take advantage of town restaurants and bars as well as the Chicken Box, grocery store, pharmacy, and is on the bus route for the beach. Only .4 mile to Boarding House, Pearl, 21 Federal Ventuno and .4 mile in the other direction to Chicken Box, grocery store, liquor store, and .7 mile from the ferry. The Boys & Girls Club play field is a few blocks away as is the school's playground.

House just completed in 2013, all new including refinished original extra wide pumpkin pine floors from the 1800s, new hardwood flooring, carpets, stainless steel appliances including wine fridge, refrigerator with ice maker and water, professional chef extra large 6 burner gas stove, dishwasher, all the kitchenware, towels, beds, mattresses, bedding, furniture, outdoor grill, paint inside and out, outdoor shower, etc. 50' plasma TV in living room with cable and internet access, central AC / internal air conditioning - no window AC units needed :) Decorated in cute beach theme, Hammocks, nice outdoor brick patio with French door access off the dining room to open for summer breeze, private 2nd floor deck for sunbathing with French doors, clam shell driveway, two picnic tables to seat 12-14 people, kids toys in lawn box, large coolers, boogie boards, etc.

Lots of parking, there's room for parking for multiple cars in the driveway (in addition to ours that we leave there) as well as parking on the street that's about a block from the house on York St. House is located a few doors down from the area nicknamed '5 Corners'.

Terrific new house in FANTASTIC In TOWN location. House is 3 levels with the bedrooms on top and bottom floors, middle main entrace floor is spacious open floorplan layout with kitchen, bathroom, dining area, and living room on first floor.

Top floor has 2 bedrooms, master bathroom, and a hidden deck for private sunbathing with French doors from master bedroom and oversized hallway / day room. Bedroom layout is master bedroom can sleep 1-3 people with a queen bed with a slide out trubdle bed under it. The other bedroom can sleep 1-4 people as it has custom bunk bed where each custom bunk bed is oversized with a full size (sleeps 2 people on the full size as it's just a few inches smaller than a queen bed) on bottom and then a twin bunk over half of it, trundle pull out bed underneath. There's also a day bed in the upstairs extra large hall way / day room with a trundle slide out bed too that can sleep 1-2 people.

Middle/Main floor is one big open area for the living room with seating for 10-12' with big plasma TV, dining area with seating for 10-12 at the grand old fashioned 108' (9' with extra leaf) dining table, plus the chefs kitchen with a pantry and wine fridge which also has an island prep station and a breakfast bar with seating for 5-6 (16-18 total seating for dinner between breakfast bar and dining table behind it), there's an enclosed laundry room and full bathroom on the main level. All bathtubs are jetted jacuzzi tubs. The outdoor shower is off of this level out the big double / French doors onto the brick patio - open the French doors for the cool island breeze.

Bottom floor has 4 bedrooms and bathroom. All bathrooms are tiled. Bedroom layouts are: 2 of the bedrooms can sleep 2-3 people as they have queen beds and each has a twin trundle pull out bed underneath it. The 3rd and 4th bedrooms can sleep 3-4 people as one bedroom has a full size bed (sleeps 2 people comfortably as it's just a few inches smaller than a queen size) and a bunk bed on the other side of the room that are twin size beds and the last bedroom has a custom bunk bed with full on the bottom (just a few inches smaller than a queen bed) and a twin bed above it, there's also a trundle twin bed that slides out from under it.

New full grown hydrangeas around the house and fence. Beautiful house and setting. :)

About The Owner

Bought this house in 2010 and renovated / upgraded it in 2012 and beginning of 2013. I live in Boston but spend time during the different seasons either on Nantucket, NYC, or VT.

Why The Owner chose Nantucket Town

Perfect location, open floor layout, and ability to have multiple families in it is why I bought the house. It's in town and close to the best night life and restaurants, island breeze, shaded area for a couple hammocks, grocery store and liquor store right nearby too. Also on the bus line to go to the beach and elsewhere. Plus I've always wanted a place on Nantucket as the island is just fantastic.

What makes this house unique

Location, location, location. Harbor is about 3 blocks away. Close to everything in town, you and your friends won't get lost trying to find it. Couple of hammocks, very beachy feel. We want everyone to have a good nights sleep in a comfortable bed. Instead of the thin cheap mattresses our trundle beds have normal large mattresses on them, just like the rest of our beds. To accommodate their height we raised the beds so everyone has a nice comfortable mattress to sleep on. :) Private deck on 2nd floor off the master bedroom, French doors upstairs and main level for island breezes. Beach bus / town bus goes right by the house. Walking distance to town / Main Street restaurants, shops, bars, pharmacy, Chicken Box, and grocery stores. Close to everything! :)

My 6th Year Visting the Island .....The Best House Yet !

I highly recommend this propertiety for those who seek great amenities and a great location to downtown.The best the Island has to offer is within walking distance or a short taxi ride to great golf or other outdoor activities. The house features a great open floor plan on the first floor where all guests can relax in comfort or entertain all day long. We hope this house is available again our week next year.

Wonderful home in the middle of Nantucke

This home was fantastic for our large group for a long weekend. A 10 minute walk to downtown, the home was immaculate, very spacious (especially the large U-shape sectional in the living room, the kitchen was completely new, and the driveway was large enough for our two large vehicles. The owner was also great to deal with and provided answers to all of our questions. We hope to come back and stay again next year!!!

Over promised; way under delivered

My family and I have been renting houses on Nantucket each summer for the past 12 years. We have always had great experiences, great houses and have worked with great owners. Until this past summer. The only redeeming quality is that he has hired a fantastic housekeeper. She took on way more responsibility than necessary and was very kind and accommodating. NO property mangers on island! A few items of note: 1) There is a garage on the property that needs to be condemned (pictures not included or even mentioned anywhere for that matter). 2) The owner has two cars he keeps in the driveway, one of which is a 25 year old Jeep the owner is trying to sell parked at the top of the driveway. 3) Cheap linens (that don't fit the oversized mattresses that constantly unravel nightly). 4) Cheap bath and beach towels, 5) "Christmas Tree Shop" curtains (not what you think of when you think Nantucket). 6) The master closet is filled to the gills with the owners personal things. 7) The furniture is far to large for the space -especially the kitchen table. 8) Over sized beds and bedroom furniture that take up most of the free space in each bedroom. 9.) Very gross beach chairs and lawn furniture. Further, I can't even begin to express the headaches associated with the lease and payments. The owner cut corners at every turn and makes you feel like you should overlook all of these shortcomings because you are lucky enough to be on Nantucket.

If this review has you concerned at all please don’t rent from us, it’s not worth the risk for your vacation. We go out of our way to make sure we over deliver & are accurate on the web page house description, pictures, & lease to protect you and us. We neatly rearranged the master closet from 3’ to about 5’ of open space for future renters to use, picture avail. Details below on the points raised. We proactively sent the cleaner over almost daily, no matter how many times we proactively sent her there to check on them, clean, bring fresh flowers, etc. he wasn’t happy. 1. Cleaner is part of our caretaking team, we do have people who take care of our home, & have terrific plumbers, landscaper, etc. 2. Garage is on property next door. 3. Web page says “our cars are there & room for several more cars”. 4. We provide towels/linens we use at home, they are correct sizes, twin beds have twin sheets... 5. We support local shops buying cute beachy sheer sailboard/shell curtains, etc. a local artist’s whale carving (named Matt after his grandson) as a wall focal point that’s worth a lot - please don’t take it. ;) 6. There’s 5 closets & 6 dressers for your use. We use other closets to store extra new linens, towels, etc. (in case one family damages something the next family still has everything they’d need). 7. Table has 2 easily removable leaves to reduce it by 1/3rd. 8. Raised beds description & pictures (day bed & blue room queen bed) on the web page, no surprises. Bedrooms are larger than many neighbors & deliberately maximize space to allow multiple families. 9. New house, everything new this year, 14 beach chairs (same ones sold all over the island), 8 Adirondack chairs (Home Depot), & not 1 but 2 picnic tables. 10. – Lease/payments are stated right up front, very simple straight forward. We did everything humanly possible to please them as did our staff. You can see by the pictures we built a million $ home & saying we cut corners is just absurd. We jumped through hoops on the phone multiple times a day & sent someone over day after day but nothing was ever going to make this person happy, which is a shame as life is too short, especially on vacation. Amazing Vacation Home

This home was absolutely perfect! It was exactly as represented on the site (even better than expected) and had all of the amenities our large group required - including A/C a must for us! We had four adults, 3 teenage girls and 4 children between the ages of 8 and 12. The house comfortably fit all eleven of us with room to spare!

Having 3 full baths and one outdoor shower was an incredible luxury given the size of our crew. There was plenty of cozy space to hang out and relax with the family. The kitchen was large and easy to work in with every possible amenity you could want. The downstairs was beautifully renovated with high ceilings that made all of the bedrooms very comfortable.

The best part of this property for us was the LOCATION!! It could not have been better... the walk to town was quick and beautiful. Getting to town was so easy we let our kids walk their on their own every day. Our boys used the baseball fields right up the street to play a week long whiffle ball tournament and our favorite beach (Surfside) was a short drive with easy parking or bike ride away.

We cannot say enough about this beautiful home. This may have been our best Nantucket vacation yet and in large part because of the comfort and luxuries this amazing home offered!! We would highly recommend this rental to anyone!
