One of only 23 homes on the sand on private Livingston Beach,

with swimming, kayaking and surfing right at your doorstep.

A quarter-mile beach walk to one of the premier surfing spots in Malibu, County Line Beach.

Perfect for couple or friend getaways, surfing trips, writer or artist

retreats.

PROPERTY FEATURES & AMENITIES:

Living room with wood-burning fireplace, 18-foot ceilings and a

wall of glass affording spectacular sunrise-to-sunset views of the Pacific. On a clear day you can see Catalina to the south, Point Mugu to the north, and a Channel Island or two.

Bring your binoculars for dolphin, pelicans, seals, whale, and shipping lane watching.

Second-floor loft bedroom with the same amazing views, a flat

screen HD TV and built-in clothes storage space.

First-floor den with flat screen HD TV and convertible sofa which

sleeps two people on a comfortable queen mattress.

Bathroom with glass-enclosed shower and gorgeous custom

tile work. An additional outdoor shower with hot water,

perfect for surfers.

Cook’s kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher. Private deck with

table seating and barbeque. Access to the owner’s flourishing

herb garden.

Wi-fi, cell phone reception, laundry facilities, private parking in driveway.

A two-minute walk to a favorite local bar and restaurant

with great seafood, a seven minute drive to shopping and

dining at Trancas Beach.

By special request, pantry and refrigerator can be stocked prior to arrival. Weekly maid service also available.

NOTE: the pictures and Video were taken before we put the teak furniture on the deck. We have a teak table, 2 teak chairs, 1 teak lounger, 1 teak low chair, and a built in bench.

Also, there are TWO houses on the beach here. One behind the other. The RENTAL is behind and above the front one.

PETS: We will consider pets. Please provide details as to age and type.

Beach: We are on a wet beach, which means that at high tide there is usually no beach in front of the house. The tides change about every 6 hours (high to low) and the times change about 30-60 minutes everyday. Even in high tide, you can usually find some sand a few houses up the beach or a short stroll to County Line Beach next door. Almost always during low tide , there is beach/sand in front of the house.

Location: Note that we are just past the Ventura County line.

NOW NEW LOWER FALL/WINTER/SPRING RATES.... These are really some of the best time of the year at the beach in Malibu...plus the rates are lower! (till May 15 )

We fell in love with the beach, at the end of Malibu. Close to Los Angeles, yet when you are relaxing on the deck gazing at the sea, you feel miles away from everything. A dream location with breath taking views. It starts from the moment you enter your Malibu getaway, from early morning sunrise, to spectacular sunsets and magical moon beams across the ocean floor at night.

We love to cook and always have wonderful meals on our deck. We enjoy having our good friends and family visit and we celebrate each lovely day of beach activities & memorable evenings together.

Amazing!

We couldn't have asked for a better trip! The home was beautiful, owner was very accommodating and aimed to please. We watched Dolphins in the morning, played in the waves with a sea lion, and saw migrating whales from what seemed like our own private Malibu. Would revisit in a heartbeat!!!!

serenity by the sea

Our time here couldn't be more perfect. Despite the pouring down rain, it was still an incredible beach day. Due to the rain, we stayed in, had a fire, made soup in the modern kitchen, and just gazed out at the incredible view. It was very quite, we felt we had our own private beach. only ran into others once. close drive to escondido falls for a leisurely hike, and then return to once again, enjoy our peaceful, pristine view. And, enough condiments in cupboards to fix any hole in your grocery list. i can't wait to visit again, and, well learn how to use a french press. (laugh)

Picture Perfect Getaway

Our weekend couldn't be more perfect. From waking up to the sound and view of the pristine Pacific, to sitting on the lovely deck right outside the door, to walking on the private beach just steps away, and back to cook dinner in the full kitchen; this house and location really couldn't be more idyllic. I can't wait to return for another serene and rejuvenating weekend.

Owner's Response: My wife and I happened to be out there as well over the Holiday weekend...and YES..it was truly special....The tides were such that there was a huge sandy beach for most of the day, it was warmer than normal, and the sunsets were more pink than usual. Even though we saw a seal, pelicans, and of course sea gulls, we didn't see any dolphins. Oh well...Can't always be perfect. So glad you felt the same.

Absolutely divine!

This is a wonderful place, both for the location and the home itself. We were here for the 3 day MLK weekend, after the holiday tourist season, and while the PCH was shut down, which was absolute heaven to be able to hear just the powerful ocean. Everything is contemporary, up to date and clean and neat, including the outside walkways and decks. There is a direct walkway to the very private stretch of beach with perfect vantage points to catch County Line beach surfers. LOVE IT!

We can't wait to make this an annual event if not more frequent. I want to keep this place a secret but must give the kudos deserved :)

Great Beach Rental

Great location between Malibu and Oxnard. Myself and my wife enjoyed our vacation and enjoyed every moment we had there. The rental owner was available for questions and gave great information on the local area activities and shopping over the phone and via email. Private beach that is right on the rental. Great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of busy cities and a busy schedule. Would definitely rent the place again if me and my wife found overselves headed to the west coast for another visit.

Notes:
This is a unique beach house because it is an 'A-Frame' with 18 foot ceilings. It is all glass in the front on the ocean side. There are 2 houses on the beach here. The rental is the one behind the first one and sits up higher above the front one.You have a great ocean view from you balcony as well as from inside the house. You do see the roof line of the front house from your (the rental) house. You can see the layout of the houses from the 2 video links. It feels like a much bigger house than it is due to it's unique architecture. You have ocean views from the entire house. There is nothing like this on the beach in Malibu. The beach is essentially a private beach and when you are on it feels as though you are on a island. You usually can see one or two of the Channel Islands and sometimes Catalina Island.
