A quarter-mile beach walk to one of the premier surfing spots in Malibu, County Line Beach.

retreats.

PROPERTY FEATURES & AMENITIES:

Living room with wood-burning fireplace, 18-foot ceilings and a

wall of glass affording spectacular sunrise-to-sunset views of the Pacific. On a clear day you can see Catalina to the south, Point Mugu to the north, and a Channel Island or two.

Bring your binoculars for dolphin, pelicans, seals, whale, and shipping lane watching.

Second-floor loft bedroom with the same amazing views, a flat

screen HD TV and built-in clothes storage space.

First-floor den with flat screen HD TV and convertible sofa which

sleeps two people on a comfortable queen mattress.

Bathroom with glass-enclosed shower and gorgeous custom

tile work. An additional outdoor shower with hot water,

perfect for surfers.

Cook’s kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher. Private deck with

table seating and barbeque. Access to the owner’s flourishing

herb garden.

Wi-fi, cell phone reception, laundry facilities, private parking in driveway.

A two-minute walk to a favorite local bar and restaurant

with great seafood, a seven minute drive to shopping and

dining at Trancas Beach.

By special request, pantry and refrigerator can be stocked prior to arrival. Weekly maid service also available.

Note that the pictures and Video were taken before we put the teak furniture on the deck. We have a teak table, 2 teak chairs, 1 teak lounger, 1 teak low chair, and a built in bench.

PETS: We will consider pets. Please provide details as to age and type.

Beach: We are on a wet beach, which means that at high tide there is usually no beach in front of the house. The tides change about every 6 hours (high to low) and the times change about 30-60 minutes everyday. Even in high tide, you can usually find some sand a few houses up the beach or a short stroll to County Line Beach next door. Almost always during low tide , there is beach/sand in front of the house.

Location: Note that we are just past the Ventura County line.

It starts from the moment you enter your Malibu getaway, from early morning sunrise, to spectacular sunsets and magical moon beams across the ocean floor at night.

Great Get Away

We had planned a long weekend in the Malibu area with our 2 teenage daughters. It happened that we would be driving during the World Cup USA vs Germany game. We emailed Morris to see if it was possible that he could record the game for us, he said he would try. When we got to the beach home the game was recorded. These extra efforts are well appreciated. These extra efforts are also seen through out the rest of the property from heated open shower on deck, several surf boards, beach chairs that were nice, plush towels for the beach too, herb garden. Well done Morris.

Tranquil Escape in North Malibu

Rented this place for a girls weekend and was very happy with our stay. We were looking for a place to relax and catch up on our lives and this provided the best venue. Modern and quaint - the place was clean and provided most everything we needed.

Morrie the owner was super attentive and emailed us that we could check in early and checked in during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed.

You can go to sleep listening to the ocean and wake up to walk the beach admist a few ocean fisherman.

Everyday at 4/5 PM you could see the kite surfers go by the property.

Neptune's Net is a quick/easy place to eat nearby.

The only complaint we had is that we couldn't stay longer.

I also brought my dog who loved the place and walking on the beach throughout the day.

Owner's Response: So glad it worked out well for your weekend. Thank you for mentioning about your dog. I don't advertise the fact that our beach is really perfect for dogs. There are usually very few people on the beach and no life guard. If your dog is friendly and won't take off and not come back, you can let them run off leash. The beach is closed in on one side and thus keeps them pretty contained.

This is the perfect getaway spot for anyone expecting a beautiful setting, privacy, and all the amenities needed to relax and enjoy a break from reality. The beach is a stones throw away and the sun sets within view of the deck, overlooking the ocean. Pods of dolphins float pass while you contemplate body surfing or hiking or sipping wine from the Trancas market. Owner's Response: Thanks for pointing out that we now have a Gourmet market, Vintage Grocers, a few minutes away. It has everything, fresh juices, fresh ice cream, baked goods, coffee, pizza, fish and meat, and all the basics. There will be 2 new restaurants in the Trancas Country Mart as well in a few months.

On the Waves

The condition of the property was excellent, and the owner was very helpful in every respect, including tracking down a package that I had delivered to the house. He really couldn't have been more accommodating The house is on the beach connected to another unit that sits below it. It's in the north of Malibu, away from the busier, more touristy areas, which was nice. I would recommend heartily for small families and especially as a romantic getaway.

What a fabulous home in an amazing location. The design of this home is absolutely amazing. Perfect in every way. Our first morning we woke up to dolphins and sea lions playing in the ocean just in front of the house. The owner was amazing to deal with. We'll be back here soon.

Notes:
This is a unique beach house because it is an 'A-Frame' with 18 foot ceilings. It is all glass in the front on the ocean side. There are 2 houses on the beach here. The rental is the one behind the first one and sits up higher above the front one. You do see the roof line of the front house from your (the rental) house. You can see the layout of the houses from the 2 video links. It feels like a much bigger house than it is due to it's unique architecture. You have ocean views from the entire house. There is nothing like this on the beach in Malibu. The beach is essentially a private beach and when you are on it feels as though you are on a island. You usually can see one or two of the Channel Islands and sometimes Catalina Island.
