On the borders of the Charente and the Dordogne, sitting in its own 5 acre parc with 14.5m swimming pool. The chateau has 9 luxury bedroom facilities including 5 suites, 2 double bedrooms and a family suite with 2 bedrooms. There are endless reception rooms, including a cinema and a bar, indoor and alfresco dining, unlimited ADSL internet access, LCD TVs, DVD players, satellite TV, extensive CD & DVD library, billiards, table tennis, boules, bikes, outdoor swimming pool, 5 acre private park, a daily housekeeper and caretaker, and our optional services are available for fully catered meals, additional housekeeping, and even beauty treatments if you wish!

The Local Village Marthon (0.5km): Just a 5 minute gentle stroll takes you into Marthon, a typically french village with a small river running through its centre. Complete with boulangerie,patisserie, tabac, boucherie, pharmacie, vegetable market each Thursday morning, a typical french bar, small hotel, pizzeria, a small cinema, and a very quaint little nightclub frequented by all ages from the village!! The village parc has a tennis court and is a wonderful spot for fishing. Steeped deep in history this beautiful village with its castle ruins, ancient church, and pretty houses with painted shutters is a pure delight. The Charente is still very unspoilt where one can truly appreciate the wonders of the French way of life. The annual calendar overflows with festivities held throughout the summer in the small towns and villages, from bric a brac’s every Sunday to full blown music festivals, international cycling and car tours, and many other events throughout the year.

    ‘The Drinks Wish List’: To save you time and effort you can pre order your personal selection of drinks that you wish us to make available in the Stone Salon Bar ready for your arrival and for your consumption during your stay.
