Alora Vacation Rental villa: Alora

Hi - we have just returned home to Scotland from a week's holiday in August 2009, at the beautiful, peaceful & secluded villa Casa Mimosa. Following a hectic year we were looking for a week's relaxation in the sun for myself, my partner Gordon and his mum and dad, Agnes & Ian. Now I am sure that Agnes & Ian will not mind me telling you that, at the sophisticated and mature ages of 74 & 83, it was important to us to find accommodation which provided as much comfort and relaxation as we could find. We searched hard for the things that were important to us such as comfort, privacy, gentle deep steps into the pool, (for those of us who need a little time to get in & out of the pool!) - the consistant depth of the beautiful clear water at chest level was also a big winner in that department, and I can reveal that Ian, at 83, managed to swim a few lengths underwater! The air conditioning was also an important factor and added to our comfort on the hottest days.

As is always the case, when you rely on a webpage description and photographs, we did not fully know what we would find when we arrived at Alora - but we are extremely happy to report that the villa, exceeded our expectations. The photos and description on the website all do it justice, but the icing on the cake is the tremendous feeling of homeliness, comfort and relaxation. Helen and Steve state that they try to ensure your every care is catered for and we can tell you that that is an understatement!. The property is superbly clean, fresh and inviting, every piece of equipment needed to ensure that your stay is comfortable, has been provided in abundance!. We received a welcome pack on arrival which blew us away and ensured that our first night was spent sat in the sun in wonderful surroundings drinking champagne and eating olives and Seville oranges.
Alora and the surrounding area is both dramatic and entrancing, the scenery superb, the weather just excellent at 38°. There are books in the Villa which show you the many many historic places to visit and we are having to sign up for another holiday to get round them all, from the Hanging City at Rhonda to the oldest bullring in Spain. The area is steeped in history with some villages and churches having been in existance for over 3,000 years! The true authenticity of the place added to our wonderful holiday, along with the outstanding care & attention given to us by our hosts Helen & Steve - and we cannot wait to return. Vicky & Gordon
