Apartment, Studio + Loft, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

A charming, furnished guesthouse studio with a loft in Toluca Lake! All stainless steel appliances (fridge, stove, and microwave), saltillo-tiled floors, travertine countertops, high dark wooden-beamed ceilings, custom glass shower, and a sleeping loft. Outside the french doors, sits a private zen patio with an iron bistro table and chair set for relaxing/snacking. There is a parking spot directly outside the gate of the unit for those who come with a car. Unit is equipped with Internet & Cable. It's a GREAT LOCATION...close to Universal and all the studios, the Equestrian Center, The Hollywood sign, Griffith Park, LA Zoo, Trader Joes, Bob's Big Boy, the boutiques of Toluca Lake... The neighborhood is quiet and serene, and just a few blocks away, sits the Chandler Path for walking, biking, rollerblading into Burbank. Small pets welcome.

Note: Some of the pictures show the unit unfurnished... It now has a beautiful wrought iron queen bed, flat screen tv, etc...and it has a custom built in desk under the loft to match the beams.

About The Owner

I've lived in Toluca Lake for almost 15 years and just love it! I'm originally from Pennsylvania and have come to LA via Boston and Chicago. I work in the entertainment business (producing independent films and most recently writing a musical). I am a big traveller myself and have lived in London, Sydney, and Costa Rica. I recently staying in a vacation rental in New York City and had a wonderful experience, so I thought I would provide that kind of comfort and quality to other travelers coming to Los Angeles!

The Owner purchased this apartment in 2005
Why The Owner chose Studio City

I rented my guest cottage to the same person for the last three years. When he moved from the area, I decided it was an opportunity to furnish the place the way I always envisioned it being furnished (with the perfect balance of beauty AND comfort) and offer it to those looking for a home away from home when visiting LA.

Quiet and Cozy in a great location

While visiting our son who lives in Toluca Lakes we've always stayed in hotels. We found Kate's guest cottage and decided to give it a try. It was perfect! The location is near restaurants & shops right in the middle of the wonderful Toluca Lake community. The kitchen was an added bonus if you do want to make meals. Great, comfortable bed, fast wi-fi, and perfect size for 2 people. The cottage is in back of the main house - totally private and very quiet, we were able to open the windows at night. There is a small outside area behind the fence that gets the morning sun -- we enjoyed morning coffee there. Plenty of parking right outside your door. Good location for visiting all the sights in and around Hollywood.

This Toluca Lake guest cottage filled the bill very nicely during my recent two-week visit to the LA area. The location was convenient as my daughter, son-in-law and 1 year old granddaughter live in the Valley. I also am very familiar with and enjoy the Toluca Lake/Studio City area with its plentiful restaurants, shops and stores. The cottage was perfect for my needs and very thoughtfully outfitted with a comfortable bed, functional desk area with wifi and a nice TV. Owner Kate was very responsive in the couple instances when I requested some household items. Recommend without hesitation for anyone looking for studio-type accommodations in this area.
