The Tree House was a fun stay! The river running on both sides of the cabin made for peaceful sleeping. We loved the fact that Gunnison was close but not close enough to disturb the serene setting of the cabin. The cabin offers everything you need. We had a nice relaxing vacation! Can't wait to visit again!

Relaxing Winter Vacation

  • 5 of 5
My husband and I stayed at the tree house over winter break. We love skiing
and with the free transportation from Gunnison to Crested Butte getting to
the slopes was simple, convenient and much less expensive than staying at Crested Butte. We saw two huge bald eagles; one just outside on the Gunnison River and one while driving to the Taylor River. We also saw several big horn sheep along the Taylor. It was very peaceful to have the rivers
right outside the cabin cutting through the snow on the bank. We really appreciated the snow being plowed early in the morning before we headed out for the day. Having a full kitchen was great for nights when we wanted to stay in and relax. We are very excited to return and would recommend this rental.

We love Colorado!!

What a great place to stay. Fishing, golfing, relaxing, enjoying the wildlife and the beautiful surroundings! What could be better? Well... there are many other things to do. Crested Butte is 30 miles away for a great small mountain town experience. We went on a few day trips to hike and go to Irwin Lake. Check out Black Canyon and Taylor Reservoir for nice day trips also. We went from river to open land to mountains within an hour. The treehouse is welcoming and has everything you could need!
