I love hosting people in my homes in DC. My brothers and I have been providing vacationers comfortable accommodations since 2011.
Cliff Palermo purchased this apartment in 2012
Great location, quiet neighborhood. Walk to metro.
A unique way to experience our Nations Capitol.
I love love loved the apartment. It was gorgeous close to downtown. Five minutes away from the 96 metrobus.
The description was accurate. We didn't realize even numbers were on one side of the street and odd numbers on the other side but we found the place. It was adequate for four adults in our party. We didn't eat there except for snacks and drinks. The apartment was clean! The neighborhood felt safe and was quaint. We walked to the Eastern Market for breakfast pastries. The Metro was walking distance away. We didn't use our car at all until it was time to depart. The "landlord" checked in to see if everything was OK. For some reason some of our tablet devices weren't connecting to the internet so he remedied the situation immediately by calling upstairs neighbors to do something and it was taken care of. There is an ice cube maker in the freezer but none were made when we arrived so I put a bowl in freezer and got some made. It was nice to have cold refreshing drinks after two long days of being tourists! This apartment was nice and met our needs.
This was the perfect place for our family of 3 (parents and 13-year-old) on our first family visit to DC. Reviews were accurate with the exception of comments about the place not being clean. We found it to be very clean and comfortable. The neighborhood has lots of restaurants and shops, the metro is close, and we even walked to the Capitol the first day. We would definitely stay here again.
This is a very nice rental for 2 and reasonable for 4. Overall the condo is set up very nicely and is visually pleasing. The sofa bed is a very typical sofa bed so you know what your getting. The kitchen is adequate however could use a set of wine glasses. I would also recommend a small garbage pail in the bathroom. The queen size bed was very comfy and there was plenty of drawer and closet space in the bedroom. The washer and dryer was very nice to have. The WiFi worked great and the internet was not slow at all. The hot water lasts thru 2 reasonable showers but needs recovery time if you use the dishwasher. This condo is quite close to the main attractions. If you like to walk to everything you want to see, this is the place for you. The metro is a mile away and very user friendly and the employees are very friendly and helpful. There is a Safeway Market within a 10 minute walk or an Organic market (Yes! is the name of the market) near the Metro. Also the Eastern Market Place is a great place to visit and get groceries, the weekend brings an outdoor market which is fun to browse with restaurants and a coffee shop. We would stay here again.
This is a nice apt in a quiet & charming neighborhood. We stayed for a week, really enjoyed the location with it's proximity to the Metro & Eastern Market and it's a nice walk to the Capitol & Mall if you enjoy a 30 min walk. Our main disappointment was the noise from the tenants above us. The Manager was responsive when we expressed our concern about loud music and we didn't hear the music again. However, this is a basement apartment and we could hear every step and conversations at times. When the couple above us was not there, it was extremely peaceful. The other negative was the squishy bed and linens that didn't fit the mattress. And the place was clean, but dusty. The cleaning service should be cleaning more thoroughly, in my opinion. Otherwise, this is a great place to stay.
