Vine Ridge contains a studio and apartment below the owners house and a new studio poolside up on the main terrace level. They are reachable within 1 hour from Malaga and situated less than 1 mile up a typical Andalucian track just below the beautiful 'Blanco'village of Comares .It has been designed to take full advantage of the 'Breathtaking' views which take into account both the Mediterranean and also the Rugged Mountain Ranges .'Vine Ridge' Studio and Apartment are flexible , comfy and well equipped self contained units which are 'Excellent Value' in stunning surroundings . The accommodation includes use of a 'Roman ' stepped swimming pool from which the Mediterranean can be seen and also the peaks of Mount Maroma. There is also an outdoor shower.
All 3 accommodations have plenty of terraces,outdoor tables and seating and from wherever you look you will see another view, which is appropriate as we located on the 'Buena Vista' walking route with it's amazing views of Andalucia.

Myself (David) and my wife Jacqui purchased this property in 2008 with the aim to offer ' Good Value' holidays which we would ourselves appreciate.
The Studio and Apartment were opened in 2009 to a high standard but with realistic pricing to help people discover this stunning area of Spain.In March 2010 we have added an even better value pool side Studio to Vine Ridge
We have 3 children at local schools, 3 dogs , numerous Guinea Pigs and 1 Rabbit .
Our aim is to allow couples and families to enjoy the beautiful Andalucian surroundings ,which both 'Vine Ridge' studio and apartment are designed to achieve .
The views still give us the 'WOW' factor after 3 years of living here and we are confident that they will do likewise for you .
We can offer baby sitting and Taxi services and hope that all our customers holidays will be enjoyable and fun at a very 'Realistic' price .
Within one hour of Malaga and you discover Vine Ridge !!
Local Activities and Comares Village Facilities: Comares can be reached in 10 min drive and 20 min walking and once there it's wonderful Moorish history can be enjoyed via its well planned walking route.
In the quaint village there are several restaurants where you can enjoy 'Spanish or English ' Fayre all child friendly.
Also a large communal swimming pool opened in July and August .

The unspoilt beach resort of Torre Del Mar , with it's pleasant promenade , numerous parks area and diverse eateries.
Mountain drives as short or long as you require.
Malaga city centre is just under the hour and it's culture and shopping facilities are often missed by travellers who just use the airport facilities.
The wonderfully historic city of Granada is reachable in less than 2 hours.
Also Gibraltar is just a day out from Vine Ridge
Please note as we have 3 rentals at Vine Ridge which between them can sleep up to a total of 10 guests we do not always keep our calender updated as we can often offer an alternative.
Plus we manage and help with bookings for other properties.

We are David and Jacqui Cullimore and along with our 3 daughters and to a lesser extent 3 pet dogs run Vine Ridge and also the other properties we manage or help with bookings for our friends.
Our desire to move to Spain was fuelled by the better quality of life and also to give our 3 children the opportunity to be fluent in another major language, whilst giving us the chance to work for ourselves in a great industry , who doesn't love a holiday and we meet all our valued guests in one of their happiest and most relaxed time of their year.

The atmosphere of the area coupled with the stunning location.
This is the real and untouched Spain, great value prices in bars/ restaurants etc, with stunning views all round.
Vine Ridge has flexibility with 3 rentals to allows us to meet guests needs from single travellers to extended families and groups of friends, fairly unique as a rental.
Possibly one of the best views in Spain !
I would highly recommend the Cullimore's Vine Ridge for a beautiful,relaxing and fully equipped studio to come and stay. We have stayed there 3 times and are about to book again for next year. The views are stunning, it's quiet and once you've driven the track its no problem. David and Jacqui are perfect hosts, they are there if you need them but not intrusive. Elder daughter Gemma cooks fab homemade pizzas to buy that we can recommend if you fancy a break from cooking or going out. The dogs are so friendly and come for a visit every morning. Vine Ridge is excellent value for money, you will not find better. The outside area is big with plenty of seats and various bbq that we used almost daily on our last holiday. The double bed is lovely for star gazing. What more could you want for a truly relaxing holiday.

We were very well looked after by David and Jacqui. Beautiful views from the apartment and we loved the dogs, they made the holiday for our little boy! The apartment was lovely, with pretty much everything we needed. The track up to the apartment was pretty hairy but we got used to it. Comares was very picturesque and we loved the bar in the main square. Our only criticism would be that the outside/communal areas could in our opinion be neatened up a bit with regards to the sunbeds and bbq area. Otherwise we would highly recommend staying at Vineridge and would certainly return!
This is a nice little studio apartment with a view out onto a beautiful valley. As with a lot of inland Spain, the views are stunning.
The property is easy to find and the track you traverse, to get to it, is pretty good (easily achievable in a Panda).
The pool is lovely, it is very quiet and there is a track that provides a pleasant walk up to Comares, a little village perched right on top of a rocky edifice.
For peace and tranquillity, look no further. Relax and chill.
I am an explorer, however, so my only minor gripe was that it is quite a long way from anywhere, though the more commercial coast (not really my thing) is not too far away. For the intrepid, there are plenty of mountain roads to explore and even higher villages but I would recommend Antequera's Alcazaba, via El Torcal Natural Park, which is beautiful in June. I also visited Ronda but that's a fair old distance but so worth it. There is a nice lake, to the north, but not much around it.
If I was the chilling by the pool type, this would have been 5 stars but I do like the historic architectural side of Spain so the remoteness was a massive plus but also a technical minus. The eating places, in Comares, were also reasonable with the one by the racket courts being the best.
Good shower, didn't watch the TV, played CDs on the DVD player. bed was comfortable. Good Wi-Fi.
From the beginning of the booking process David was always at the other end of the email to answer ALL my questions.
We arrived at the Villa and David and Jacqui were present to greet us. We have book an apartment and a villa just behind vine ridge (Petes place).
The apartment was very homely and had everything you need for a break, welcome pack was provided for a cuppa and the honesty bar came in handy (50c for a beer!)
Our friends arrived and had the villa, the villa is all lovely and shiny as you would expect from a new build, the pool and facilities are top class.
The drive in is an experience, but gets easier each time you do it. The drive is more than worth the stunning views.
I have to mention the dogs, I feel my soft spot was for the chico as he still has the puppy factor!
We made da day trip to Marbella and Puerto Banus with ease in the hire cars!
Fab place loved the out of the way location. My best bit,, the iron bedstead with the fab views my next best bit the wonderful 3 pets Charlie, Chico & Bruno. We will return! X
It is difficult to find but finally it is worth the effort :) Hosts are very friendly and helpful and have very friendly dogs. Views are breath taking, especially from the bed near the pool.
Comares is a picturesque 'blanco' village uniquely nestling 739 metres above sea level, with amazing views from the sea to sierras.The village is reachable within 1 hour from Malaga and 1hour 20 mins from Granada.
Within the hour the amount of attractions available are numerous and diverse ranging from walks to go-carting , pony trekking to water parks ,beaches to historic cities , Spanish bars to English cinema , Air -condition shopping centres to cobbled street villages and golf courses to sandy beaches.
Nerja with it's quaint beaches and famous caves is also only 1 hour away and you can be parked and skiing at Sierra Nevada within 2 hours.
If you simply want to relax then the Andalucian countryside lends itself wonderfully to picnics, birdwatching , star gazing , painting and dramatic photography .
Many people are amazed as to the flexibility of this region of Spain which allows such a 'varied vacation' to be easily achievable within its boundaries .

Golf: The nearest golf course is approx a 40 minute drive away.The 18 hole Baveria Golf Course is between Velez Malaga and Torre Del Mar and membership is not required.Details on request.
Ski: The nearest ski resort is in Sierra Nevada approx a 1hour 45 min drive away .

The smaller poolside studio is from £149 - £199 and the apartment from £199 - £299 depending on the season.
