Beech Chalet offers excellent self catering holiday accommodation and is situated in an unrivalled location right in the heart of Glencoe, perhaps Scotland's most famous and scenic glen. The chalet is set in a small park with 3 other letting properties and enjoys magnificent mountain views of the Glencoe peaks. The open plan lounge/dining area has picture windows to take in the best of the view. In addition, there is a granite and slate fireplace with a gas fuelled cast iron stove, making it a wonderfully cosy place to retreat to in the evenings. The chalet has all the facilities and amenities you require for the perfect holiday stay, including features such as a cathedral style pine lined ceiling in the lounge, master bedroom with en suite facilities, and our own Clachaig Holidays Grocery Order Service. Clachaig Chalets are located adjacent to the popular award winning Clachaig Inn, where you can get a meal if self catering doesn't appeal, or simply pop across for a relaxing drink.
Beech Chalet is located at Clachaig Chalets, right in the heart of Glencoe, with easy access via the A82 from Glasgow and Stirling. Signal Rock and the scene of the infamous MacDonald Massacre of 1692 is within walking distance, as are the many walks in the glen. The National Trust for Scotland Visitor Centre is close by and well worth a visit. Glencoe Mountain Ski Centre is just 10 miles away at the top of Glencoe, adjacent to Glen Etive, while the sea loch at Loch Leven is just 3 miles. Kinlochleven with the Ice Factor indoor climbing centre is just 10 miles away. Fort William, with Ben Nevis and Glen Nevis, and Nevis Range are just a short drive to the north, while the scenic Argyll coast road leads south to Oban. There's Munros a plenty within the immediate vicinity, while forest walks such as at Glencoe Lochan are also available for less strenuous days out! Alternatively, head out west for a day exploring the beaches at Morar and Arisaig, passing Glenfinnan Viaduct on the way.
