The log cabin is located on the Crystal River in the quaint town of Redstone. The entire village is on the National Register
of Historic Places. The cabin is in the quiet, neighborhood section of Redstone steps away from the Redstone Inn, shopping, restaurants, the old-time General Store, and the Community Park. Enjoy a glass of wine by the river, fish right from the property, walk the East Creek Trail for a day or an overnight hike, take a bike ride up and down the 2 mile boulevard or a challenging climb up Coal Creek Canyon. Use the cabin as a romantic getaway, a family outdoor adventure or a base camp for exploring venues like Aspen, Crested Butte, Glenwood Spring, Marble, Snowmass, etc...
The cabin features a wonderfully updated kitchen and bathroom with steam shower. It sleeps up to 6 people in bunk and twin beds. The living room features a beautiful river rock fireplace providing a wonderful place to read and relax with family and friends.

We are a family of 4 living on the Front Range of Colorado.
The Owner purchased this cabin in 2007
After many years of exploring Colorado, we settled on the Crystal River Valley as we believe it is the most beautiful valley in the state. It also provides us the ability to live in a small community while having access to all that the Roaring Fork Valley has to offer.
We love to sit by the river, relax and enoy the mountain views. We hike the East Creek Trail and bike Coal Creek Canyon. We enjoy Penny, Avalanche Creek and Glenwood Springs hot springs. The kids love to walk to the General Store or bring an activity and enjoy the community park. We love the live music events at the park and walking the Boulevard meeting both visitors and residents alike. We love to spend time as a family relaxing, enjoying the outdoors and taking day trips to explore - Aspen, Crested Butte, Marble, etc...
Cozy cabin. Centrally located to good and diverse nordic skiing. Redstone is a quaint old mining town in which to spend the winter holidays -- horse-drawn sleigh ride, ice skating, neighbors strolling the street, and friendly local businesses. Hot springs just a few miles away. We appreciated the selection of classic children's movies for our child, and the vintage record albums that helps those of us in our middle age, recall our youth! Kitchen is well equipped. Plenty of comfortable sofas and chairs to curl up in with a good book. Beds comfortable. Fireplace a plus! We heartily recommend this cabin to folks seeking a peaceful wintertime vacation.
Charming, well equipped, and delightful location. This was our first experience with VRBO, and we count ourselves fortunate to have found this rental. The owners were extremely accommodating, and were easily contacted when we needed help clearing the driveway of over a foot of snow. With the Christmas lighting, at night the cabin looked like something out of a snow globe. The beautiful masonry fireplace provided a comforting atmosphere, and the wood supply was way more than adequate.
The owners appear to have thought of everything, from a well stocked kitchen to a land line telephone with no long distance charges (which is a good thing, since cell phone service in Redstone is nonexistent). Wifi service was provided at no extra charge, and a satellite-fed TV allowed us to keep up with current news.
The town of Redstone is only 45 minutes or so from Aspen, but you'd never know it because it's up a gorgeous valley straight out of Switzerland. Once we arrived, we found we didn't need a car, since we could walk from one end of town to the other in slightly over a half mile. In the summer, I can just imagine how pleasant it would be to sit out by the Crystal River; but in the winter, the cabin, like the town, provides a perfect, cozy getaway.
We can't recommend this property enough!
We greatly enjoyed our weeks' stay at this beautiful cabin in Redstone, CO. We would stay there again any time. Even though it was quite cold while we were there, the boiler in floor radiant heat was very comfortable & the wood burning stove was great. The cabin has that wonderful old time rustic charm yet along with great modern amenities such as the steam shower & kitchen appliances. There was plenty of room for everyone. Thanks for rental!
We had a great time staying in this home. The pictures and property description are accurate and the home is well taken care of clean and the owner was very helpful answering all our questions. We loved sitting by the river and having coffee in the morning or a beer in the evening. We bicycled (my daughter loved riding the cruiser bike), hiked East Creek trail and floated down the Crystal River all right from the property. We hardly used the car during our stay. We also soaked in the nearby hot springs and explored the Filoha Nature preserve. We listened to local a musician while enjoying a great dinner at the grill at Redstone Inn. We have been traveling for years through Redstone and I'm really glad we finally stayed for awhile. We will be back!
We enjoyed our stay extremely. It was very comfortable and cozy. Extremely clean! The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Bathroom was comfortable. We especially enjoyed sitting outside by the fire-pit and next to the river. We appreciated all the information you provided prior to our arriving and there at the cabin.
We had a great time staying in Redstone. The house was beautiful and well appointed. We enjoyed so many things...the steam shower...the chairs next to the Crystal River to sit and take it all in...the bicycles to ride down the boulevard...the record collection...the super comfortable queen-sized bed. Nearby there is much to do and see in the summer and we stayed as busy as we wanted visiting the hot springs, fishing, hiking the nearby trails, shopping in downtown Carbondale, and vising the town of Marble. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
