Brighton Cottage Rental Photos and Description
House, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-6)
Historic waterfront cottage known as 'Tumble Down' with amazing sunsets. Originally built in 1923 by a well known gentleman who built many field stone cottages in the area, several of which are on West Crooked Lake. Tumble Down is located on low boat traffic, West Crooked Lake with water access to East Crooked Lake. Both are all sports lakes. Relax and barbecue on your private deck overlooking the lake, swing on the porch swing, enjoy the hot tub or roast marshmallows over the campfire. Sunbathing on the shore, deck or dock. Paddle around the lake in the 16' canoe or paddle boat both provided, bring your own boat or rent our 25 foot Bennington pontoon boat for $100 per day (gas included). Boat launch 1/2 mile away. Great fishing. Property has extensive gardens and was featured on the LACASA garden tour in 2010. Be sure to explore the secret gnome garden. Courtyard with fountain.
Tumble Down has much to offer year round. Enjoy foliage color in the fall, cross-country skiing and ice fishing in the winter. We look forward to sharing our slice of paradise with you.

About Melisa Burnett
We love to travel, spend time with friends and family, garden, enjoy good food and wine, host parties, and of course spend time on our lake!
Melisa Burnett purchased this cottage in 2005
Why Melisa Burnett chose Brighton
We have lived in this community for almost 20 years. Living on West Crooked Lake is like living 'on vacation' all of the time. We looked at every lake in Brighton and settled on West Crooked Lake based on sunsets, quality of water, visual interest, boat traffic, wildlife and quality of residence development.
What makes this cottage unique
We love watching the circle of life on our lake year round. We have multiple bird families that make West Crooked Lake their home; Multiple Swan families, Canada Geese, Wood Ducks, Blue Herons, Egrets, Sandhill Cranes, Hawks, a pair of Morning Doves that nest in our garden and a mischievous Muskrat that lives in our neighbor's wood pile.
