Located in a quiet suburb about 10km from downtown Reykjavik. The backyard leads into the Ellidardalur valley, perfect for jogging, hiking or bike riding. Short distance to an outdoor swimming pool and 130 meters to the nearest bus stop.

300 square meter house on two floors, the first floor consists of a living/dining room, kitchen and a bathroom.

The lower floor has 4 bedrooms, a bathroom with a bathtub/shower, living room, laundry room and a sauna with a shower. From the lower floor you can access the backyard porch with a barbeque and hot tub.

This was the PERFECT home for our adult family of 8 reunion! Though the house didn't have as many baths as we would have liked, it worked out GREAT for 8 adults! Loved the view, the location, the access to Bonus market, access to highways to all the SW tourist attractions in SW Iceland, the hot tub, the sauna! It made the PERFECT home base for our Iceland trip! GREAT kitchen! Did lots of cooking thanks to the kitchen and close proximity of a grocery store. The walking trails into the open space behind the house made for a delightful walk in the afternoon or after dinner. This property exceeded our expectations!

Wonderful at New Years

We found this home to be exactly what a group of friends would want for New Years. Beautifully crafted, wonderful open spaces and fully stocked Kitchen, with a starter pack of food to get things going when you arrive. The Coffee machine was the big hit of the house as well as the hot tub. We wouldn't hesitate to book this home again when we come back to Iceland and would highly recommend it to our friends and family. The only caveat I have is that If you rent this home, you likely should have a car rental as well.

Modern and Roomy

I was a little apprehensive renting in the suburbs, but in the end, it was a non-factor. An easy 10 minute drive to everything in Reykjavik coupled with the amenities of the house (loved the built in coffee machine!) made this an excellent choice. A fantastic house with plenty of room for our family of 6. The kids took advantage of the second family room and hot tub downstairs while the adults relaxed upstairs. The large windows have impressive views the river and mountains. Make sure to explore the "backyard" consisting of biking, running trails along the river...and the local thermal pools. Can't wait to return!

Simple Beautiful

The first thing you notice when you enter the house is the attention to detail. from the beautiful decor to chocolates on the table, you felt that you were a welcomed guest. Seven adults had plenty of room to enjoy our stay. The layout of the house and the all tile interior made for quiet restful evenings. The view out the living room window revealed the surrounding landscape. All the appliances were modern and accessible for use. We even had WiFi. We were only 10 minutes by car to the downtown area. The owner met any of our needs or questions promptly and went over and above to make our stay enjoyable. We all felt that we were staying in a home not just renting a place to stay for a week.

Great house with very nice and hospitable owners. Definitely recommend for anyone visiting Iceland who prefers a home rather than hotel experience. The home is completely updated with nice amenities including an outdoor hot tub and grill and a fully-equipped kitchen including a built-in, automatic coffee machine. It is conveniently located with easy access to highways in all directions and is in a quiet neighborhood. We felt very safe, as you should in all of Iceland, and there were great walk/bike trails along a beautiful river behind the house. A public pool with slides for kids is within easy walking distance, and there's a nice grocery store right around the corner.
