The Bear Haus - Beautiful House on the Water at Lake Dunlap

We gathered with family for a few days here and we truely enjoyed everything about our stay! It was large and spacious with room for adults as well as children alike. It was so nice to be checked in on by the owner to make sure everything was good with the house.They are so hospitable and friendly. The house is plenty stocked with linens and dishes, The only thing we had to bring was food and bathroom toiletries. We relaxed comfortably on the deck out back and the kids and dogs had plenty of space to run in the huge back yard.At night we chilled in front of the cozy fireplace . It was awesome to have the pooltable downstairs to play while watching the game on the big screen t.v. The jacuzzi was fun for the kids to play in at night.It's not far at all from stores and the main freeway so it's easy to get to and get from, The house was neat and clean and beautifully decorated. The appliances are all new and in great condition.
We would reccommend this place to anyone and will hopefully get to come back again! Sincerely

My family and I rented the bear haus for a great family environment, and we got all that and more. The pictures do not do this house justice. There is so much space, that we didn't know what to do with. We were comfortable, which is important on vacation, but that aside, the space didn't even matter because of all the other things that they had as well. The yard was spacious, gated and perfect to tucker our pets out, along with ample space for family activities. We like to play bags and horse shoes, not to mention a little soccer and volley ball. There were plenty of bathrooms, which in our family is a MUST. We also had plenty of places to cook for our big family. All these things would be amazing, but then you add in the fact that it is water front and it becomes UNBELIEVABLE! We had tons of fun in the sun. My family and I really enjoyed our vacation and want to book again next year, or if possible this year again!

hell yea, this place was awesome. I was here in june for a friends engagement party and they rented this house for the weekend. When I first drove up, the first thing that caught my eye was the neat driveway that wrapped around a garden, it even had this cool seahorse bird bath. My girlfriend and I stayed upstairs and were blown away by all of the artistic touches that the owners have put into the house. Normally I would never talk about how great a bathroom is, but every single bathroom in this house had its own distinct and creative tiling patterns. While one had a stand-up shower with an awesome broken-tile design, another had a bath with a huge sea turtle on the wall made completely of tile...truly beautiful. Even the downstairs bathroom had a huge walk in rock shower made of large, smooth stones...I seriously thought we could fit half of the guests in there at once. I now consider myself somewhat of a bathroom officianado. Both the upstairs and downstairs have a large, spacious common area that worked great for the party atmosphere, but later as the party settled down, the space easily transitioned into a cozy, intimate space to drink and have conversation. I'm a country boy at heart so my opinion might be a bit biased, but my favorite thing about this entire house was the Recreation room. This thing had all the bells and whistles, I'm talking about huge television, pool table, dart board,a long rock bar, and of course the golden egg of this room was the keggerator filled with icy-cold beer. After having a few shots of tequila at the bar and few cold brews, I headed out to join the festivities of the party. The yard is gigantic and the houses have an amazing view of the lake from the decks. Then night came and thats when the yardlights came on and illuminated everything so that the party could keep going, and the tequila kept flowing until we took a late night dip in the lake. Overall, this house made a lasting impression on me, my girlfriend, and almost everyone that attended the engagement party. Only advice I can give is if you drink too much tequila and go swimmin, watch out for snapping turtles...just kidding one of the best nights ever. I take my hat off to the owners for creating such a beautiful place.
