    Our rates are quoted in the euro, however we offer you the unique option of paying for your stay in a variety of currencies; by bank transfer, you have the option of paying in either the euro, pound sterling or U.S. dollar (subject to the current currency exchange), other currencies can be paid through Pay Pal.
  • Upon your arrival in Venice, our representative will meet you and direct you personally to our flat. They will show you in and answer any questions you might have about Ca' Venexiana and the city of Venice. The cost for this 'Meet and Greet' service is €35 and is payable directly to our representative in Venice. (If you are arriving after 8pm, the 'Meet and Greet' service is €50.)

Notes: Ca' Venexiana is comprised of a living room with fireplace, a full kitchen, bathroom, two bedrooms and quiet courtyard. The property also has its own boat mooring (9 m.) It is set on the ground floor with no worry of acqua alta (high water) as entry is accessed by way of a small set of stairs, keeping our flat 1+ meter above ground level. Filled with washes of natural light & views that are simply charming. Among our many amenities, you'll find TV(SKY), DVD, video games, stereo and broadband internet access, and a library of interesting books, music, and movies. At Ca' Venexiana you will find the 'little things' most easily forgotten about when traveling—electrical adapters, umbrellas. Our kitchen is fully-equipped; we strongly suggest visiting the local markets and trying your hand at some Italian dishes (we have a selection of cookbooks on hand). Enjoy your meal outside on our wonderful secluded courtyard, giving a wave to a passing gondolier while churchbells echo in the distance.

NORTHEAST ITALY/VENETO REGION: Venice, the queen of the Adriatic, has been attracting visitors for centuries for good reason. Museums, artwork, history, churches, hospitality...Piazza San Marco, the Bridge of Sighs, Rialto, palazzos on the Grand Canal...she is a treasure box waiting to be explored. From Venice, you can easily venture outward to her neighboring islands (Lido, Murano, Burano, Torchello...) and the northeastern mainland of Italy which offers such jewels as Padova and Verona. Ferry service is available for neighbouring Croatia and the Istrian coast.

ARRIVING IN VENICE: BA now flies direct to VCE Marco Polo from both Heathrow and Gatwick. Easyjet and BMI also fly to Marco Polo from London; Air France and Easyjet fly from Paris direct. From the airport, you can take the vaporetto (water bus) directly in to Venice, which takes from 45 minutes. Alternately, you can take a bus/coach to Piazzale Roma (cost €3) which takes about 20-30 minutes. You can take a water taxi from the airport directly to Ca' Venexiana; this is somewhat costly but would bring you directly to the door of the apartment in under 30 minutes. Arrival by car or bus terminates at Piazzale Roma (or train to Venice Santa Lucia) - both are a 15 minute walk to the apartment. Or, you can take the vaporetto from Piazzale Roma or Ferovia to either the San Basilio, Zattere, or Ca' Rezzonico stops. All three stops are within 10 minutes walk of Ca' Venexiana.

This is the type of apartment that makes you write a review to tell the world how nice it is.
I have stayed in many apartments across Europe, and this type of apartment is really the future: the hotels will be a thing of the past !
The amenities of the apartment are unbelievable. We travelled with children, and they even found a gamecube to play , lots of Tv channels, internet for us!
The information was incredible : books, guides, a book with all the apartment information...
there were umbrellas, hats, and even something to cover my shoulders in churches!!!
I hate it when I arrive at one apartment and there is no cleaning stuff. Here you find everything: detergent, dishwasher tablets, bin bags... you don't have that feeling that you have to spend a fortune in the supermarket to be confortable (as we had to do in our previous holiday home in Tuscany).
The apartment also has all the basics for cooking : olive oil, vinegar, salt spices, coffee, tea, sugar,.
For me there are 2 types of apartments: the very basic ones and the ones where you feel you have borrowed someone else's home. This is how you feel at Ca Venexiana, at home.
I must also said that it has been tatesfully decorated to the last detail. Even the table lamps had amercian sockets, this means that someone who is capable of crossing the Atlantic with lamps to decorate is putting loads of attention to the last detail, or at least that was my conclusion!
In fact I must say the the photos of the advert are the worst part of it, as the reality is far better.
The views to the canal were amazing, just sitting outside having a coffee feels a real venetian experience.
The location is also very convenient. You are close to atractions but not in the middle of the tourist center. It is a pleasure to walk along the streets of Dorsoduro. We really enjoyed Venice and the city impressed us very much.
There was a waterbus stop, a supermarket, restaurants and shops very near.

Great location

We spent 3 nights here in mid Oct 09 and it was wonderful! You could not ask for a better location in the entire city as you are just outside of the crowds at St Mark's but close enough to get in the midst of everything within a few minutes walk. Beautiful intior with everything you need and of high standard. Very professionally ran and handled from booking to meeting us at the flat. Will definitely look to stay here again my next visit to Venice.

Quiet location. Beautifully decorated and equipped. The terrace is perfect for lunch in the sun but no sun in the evening. A lovely apartment to return to after a tiring day sight-seeing. Highly recommended.

Quiet, convenient yet off the beaten track

This ground floor flat has recently been renovated with great flair – the owner has thought of everything to make for a really comfortable stay. Being on the ground floor the views are not that great but most of the windows look out onto canals with the odd passing gondola and so on.
There is an instruction folder, TV, books, DVD, games etc. Very well equipped kitchen with large fridge freezer, dishwasher etc and the most comfortable bed and most efficient shower we have ever encountered in Italy! There is also space outside where you can eat – we were there too early in the year to want to do this.
And don't worry about Aqua Alta - it happened but the water did not come in!
Recommended!

Although it is true, you cannot see the rooftops from our flat, we sought out this particular property for something a rooftop flat doesn't offer; the treasure of a private garden courtyard at the crossing of the two canals, where you can exchange a smile and "buongiorno" with the gondoliers as they pass by (a uniquely Venetian experience!)
Wish we could have done something about the rainy weather, but we're pleased to know Ca' Venexiana offered a warm and dry retreat from the springtime showers.

Ca' Venexiana is the perfect place to stay in Venice! It's got the feeling of being at home but with all the comfort and amenities of a hotel. The property was clean, well maintained and caters to every bit of guest's comfort. It's location is also very convenient to all the tourist destination in Venice.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ca' Venexiana, in fact, my children didn't want to leave at all! I highly recommend the place, it really exceeds your expectations!
