Located in the mystic Lost Coast of California, north of the Wine Country and a short drive from the Avenue of the Giants, this Cape Cod-style Ocean front home is situated just 40 yardsfrom the ocean in the resort town of Shelter Cove. The 4-bedroom, fully furnished 1500 sq ft home with a modern kitchen overlooks a small bluff with seals and sea lions nearby and migrating whales can be seen during winter. Expansive, unobstructed ocean views as well as towering mountain ranges provide exceptional visual stimuli. Within walking distance to the light house, tide pools and the Black Sand Beach, you can also play golf at the 9-hole golf links which is behind the house. Accommodates 8 .

About The Owner

We are a professional couple with two small boys living in the San Francisco Bay area. We come here with our boys frequently to get away from the busy Silicon valley life. We are always relaxed after a visit to the Cove. Our boys love the freedom to explore the nature and wilderness. There are tide pools everywhere and they bike the flat lower Pacific drive. The Cove slopes very gently and provides an excellent place for them to wade / play / swim. We also love to hike the Sinkyone and Kings Mountain trails.

We chose Shelter Cove to buy our vacation home because of the unique combination of remoteness, abundant wildlife, stunning ocean and mountain views and sense of unmatched serenity compared to anywhere else in California

Wonderful family get-away!

We had a wonderful time staying at this house. I can't imagine a better house to take kids to on vacation. The field/golf course in the back provides so much space for running and playing and my kids LOVED the room full of bunk beds. Us adults couldn't get enough of sitting and watching the waves crash from the deck. Great house, wonderful vacation spot - we will DEFINITELY be back!

All girl weekend

We had a great time!!! The house was perfect size for our group of 9. It wasn't crowded at all. When we went to cook dinner the first night we found out that the house is in desperate need of baking pans but we made do. Loved the view, we could sit in the living room drinking coffee & watch the waves out the big windows. Many wonderful memories were made this weekend & we are planning on making this a new tradition so we will definitely be calling you!!! thanks again

We enjoyed our stay at Shelter Cove very much. We are four sisters ages 67 to 80 so some mobility problems but the views were great and the house very clean and comfortable. The road into Shelter Cove is quite an adventure in itself.

Just beautiful!

The house and peoperty were just as described. Clean, full kitchen, more beds than we needed. Lots of room! Kid friendly house with bunk beds and toys. The views are breathtaking. We drove to the black sand beach, just about a miles drive. It is amazing. Never seen anything like it. Not for wading, splashing or swimming though. However there is a family friendly beach with in walking distance of the house. We rented boogie boards and surf boards around the corner from the house and had a blast. The espresso shop has the best coffee and pastries. The owners were great to work with. I recommend this property to families!
