SPITI ANNA
We (58, 59 and 28) spent the beginning of September 2009 in this lovely house. It really felt like home: nice rooms, good beds, lots of books to read, lovely garden, well equipped kitchen, and even a television with BBC World. And what a view from the window and the terrass! The peace and quiet of the house and its surroundings were just what the doctor ordered. You do need a car to get around but then you can get to some of the best beaches in Greece! The sea is just amazing. The house is not situated in a real village, so no shops and restaurants, but there are enough places short distances away to do your shopping and for eating out. The trip from the mainland to Evia was very special too: you get to this 'harbour' (a tiny strip of beach where you can drive your car onto the ferry) and then you get a trip of about an hour which is just beautiful. On our way in it was hot and sunny and ten days later on our way out it was like autumn but equally beautiful.
Well, I could go on and on but hope this impression will be helpful. Do go to Spiti Anna, it's truly fantastic and unforgettable for us...
