Holiday home situated only 6 Miles from Rambouillet, 12 Miles from Versailles and 20 Miles from Paris. The property is located in the Natural Reserve of the Valley of Chevreuse. Accommodation ( self-catering) registered by official organism GITES de FRANCE: quality level : 3 Stars. A very attractive renovated cottage, all equipped, close to other houses in the quiet and peaceful village of Auffargis. Sleeps four. There is a modern fitted kitchen including freezer, fridge, cooker and dishwasher, a dining area with beams and open plan sitting room with fireplace & a TV. There is a water closet downstairs and also a washing machine. The house has gas central heating. On the 1st floor there is a full bathroom, a double bedroom and a bedroom with bunk beds. The cottage is very suitable for a family of four. Being so close to Paris, there is lots to do and see, many places of interest - and for the children, there is of course Disneyland which can be enjoyed by all the family.

Other tourists places worthy of a visit are Thoiry (you can drive your car among wild animals), France Miniature, Espace Rambouillet, Etangs de Hollande (true beaches during the sunny season), Abbaye des Vaux de Cernay and the very famous Cathedral of Chartres. There are many good restaurants around. The nearest airports are Charles de Gaulle and Orly. It is very easy to get to Paris: There is a train station which leads you to Versailles and also to Montparnasse Station in the center of Paris. Otherwise you can use the highway to drive to Paris ( 20 miles) , Versailles ( 12 miles), or even Chartres, Normandy and the ' Chateaux de la Loire '.
