Cabin, 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 6)

Leave harried city life behind, get back to nature and refresh at our getaway just a short 2-1/2 hour drive from the Twin Cities. Our cabin rests on a 3-1/2 acre wooded lot off the shore of Bass Lake, a private, quiet, 120 acre lake and part of the Ossawinnamakee chain.

Our cabin features three bedrooms comfortably sleeping six: one queen bed, two twin beds and one twin bunk bed. All bedding is furnished. The bathroom is newly remodeled. Bath and hand towels are provided. The kitchen is equipped with cookware, dinnerware, and linens--everything you'll need for your stay. A gas grill is right outside the main entrance on the upper patio. A patio below is a great spot for outdoor dining.

You may wish to explore the lake by canoe, two are on site for your use. You'll likely see turtles sunning on the rocks, blue herons, loons, and, of course, fish as you make your way through winding creeks into the other lakes. Or take the 5-person paddleboat for a leisurely ride around the island, or the rowboat out to see what's biting. Staying closer to shore, enjoy swimming off the floating dock, curl up with a book in the hammock or sit on the dock for a glimpse of an eagle as it soars over head before catching its dinner in the bay. An expansive lawn provides ample space for sunning and lawn games. At dusk gather around the fire pit to enjoy the warmth of a fire, toast marshmallows and plan your next day's activities as the day comes to a close.

Out and about there are plenty of dining choices, quaint shopping, golfing and other recreational activities available in nearby Crosslake, Nisswa and downtown Pequot Lakes.

Relaxing Vacation

We had a great time at this cabin. The weather was nice…some hot days, some humid days, some rain and some perfect days! All in all…it was a really fun, relaxing and wonderful vacation.
The extremely easy to use entry system is a nice feature. It made coming and going very easy. We enjoyed the layout of the cabin and felt that everything was adequately stocked…dishes, pans, storage containers and linens with a couple of games and movies thrown in which were acceptable for all ages. We loved to see the lake from the living room and enjoyed the “windows on all sides” ventilation. The lake was an ideal distance for small children...close enough to be able to get swimming and cool off quickly and far enough to be able to keep children busy with other activities without being distracted by the lake.

We would go back again!
