The fascinating history including the glorious phases of the Austrian and Austro Hungarian Empires and its still evident in its architectural development. The city's association with great music and arts of all persuasions, especially the life of Mozart are evident at every turn. The food, in particular the cakes are legendary and eating out is always a special experience
We chose this apartment for its location and the availability of an elevator. The apartment and service were as advertised. Jana was prompt, cheerful, professional and informative. The tram stops right at the door, and there's plenty to do nearby. The apartment is high enough to mute the street noise. The location is close enough to most of the sites that we were able to break up the day into parts and come back to the apartment to rest when needed. The grocery stores and bakeries are less than a block away, and the kitchen is quite well appointed. Overall, I'd recommend the place and experience.
We were greeted by Jana outside, she was very helpful and she showed around the apartment and gave us the keys, lots of useful information and answered our questions.
The apartment was exactly as advertised very clean and comfortable and well maintained.
The location is very good close to local shops cafes and restaurants. The tram stops a short distance from the apartment building and the underground is also not too far away. You can use same ticket for both and so it is very easy to get around Vienna. Plenty to see and do from family days to arts and music. We saw the Spanish Riding School, Mozart & Strauss Concert at the Palace Palffy, The Giant Pandas at the Imperial Zoo Schonbrunn, St Stephens Cathedral, The Natural History Museum, and Schonbrunn Palace. We would highly recommend this apartment.

This flat is a wonderful place to stay while experiencing Vienna. From the first moment of arriving, Jana, the friendly manager, was waiting outside for us, and welcomed us to the beautiful apartment, explaining everything we needed to know to make our stay comfortable. And it was. The flat is in a traditional building, yet modern and spotless, with beautiful linens on the beds and a fully-stocked kitchen which makes it easy to go the market and bring home fresh food to cook. The living room has lots of cozy seating, and a nice desk with internet access, for any work that needs to be done while on holiday! The neighborhood is quiet and residential, and boasts many classic and cool shops and cafes. I discovered a very fine little espresso bar, Koffee Modul, just down the Josefstadterstrasse. The Number 2 tram into the center is literally across the street--in 10 minutes, you are at the Staatsoper, less time to the Museum Quarter. And you may walk to the U-bahn in five minutes. All in all, an excellent choice.
Four of us visited Vienna in late November and had four full days there. We loved it and were delighted with the apartment.
We were welcomed on the pavement outside by Jana, who showed us round the flat and gave us information about transport. We found it clean, well equipped and warm.It is as described in the website
It is on the fourth floor, but as there is a lift, access is no problem.
The tram stops just outside, and there is a bread shop opposite- very convenient!
The owner recommended the excellent Cafe Hummel, close by. We ate there in the evening and had breakfast there. I wish there was one near us at home!
When it comes to sightseeing, we really only scratched the surface. We saw as much of Klimt's work as we could find. One day we hired bikes and went on a self guided tour which took us along the river and to Hundertwasserhaus. We combined a trip to the Kunsthistorisches Museum with their late opening on a Thursday evening and treated ourselves to a gourmet meal there in the most sumptuous surroundings. You need to book this.
We all agreed that we would love to visit Vienna again, in the spring or early summer, and would try to stay at this apartment.
Other Activities: culture, sightseeing, exhibition, vienna state opera house.
