A Work in Progress but Worth It

This property was secured less than a month before our visit. I was cautious because of the previous review but decided that the location and pet-friendly situation was worth the risk. It worked out perfectly. We were 4 adults, one child and 3 dogs. The unit smelled freshly cleaned upon our arrival and there was more than ample room for everyone and everything. The beds were very comfortable and we brought a queen air mattress to use on the sleeper sofa, which worked perfectly. There were unexpected sample supplies for the kitchen and laundry. Thank you very much. The furniture was much better than reviewed. Not to everyone's taste but very comfortable and clean. Yes, the carpet is mildly stained but it was clean and smelled fresh. As I understand it, improvements are being made as opportunity and funds allow. The back garden is small and no grass but shaded. It is a place for pets to do their business and provides easy pick up. I would definitely stay here again. The fact that you can bring your pets, walk them around the neighborhood or let them have space outside while being so close to the beach and other attractions at a fair price is well worth this not not being a 5-star HOTEL I'm sure that when all improvements are complete, this will receive 5-star ratings from all visitors.

Love the location, but needs updating and cleaning...

For us, the fact that this was a pet friendly condo in a great location was a huge bonus for us. However, this place needs updating and a really good overall cleaning. We ended up having to mop the tile floors, because they just did not feel or appear to be clean. The carpet is in dire need of a good shampooing. The TV upstairs is very outdated and small. The TV in the bedroom is entirely too small and it did not work during our entire stay. We found the bed in the master bedroom to be very lumpy and uncomfortable. The backyard isn't really a "yard" a tree and some rocks a nd some brush thrown up against the back fencfe was about it. Only one chair on the upstairs balcony and a table that was falling apart. There was a table on the porch near the front entrance that was literally falling apart and covered in rust and no chairs. The place is not what we would consider clean, nor would we call it filthy, but, it really does need a very good thorough cleaning top to bottom and the carpet really needs a good shampooing. The stairs are very narrow. The pots and pans really need to be updated, as well as the appliances. Each time you opened the refrigerator door, the light inside the refrigerator flickered off and on. The ice in the ice maker tray had been there for quite a while, too old to even use. When we first walked thru the door, there was a strong musty/mildew odor, so much so we had to go get a scented candle to burn just to mask the odor. There is no internet access at all. Also, the views are not as good as they appear in the pictures on the site, there have been some new homes built, so your view is not as it would appear to be in these pics. Please know, this condo is in the perfect location with beach access right out the front door and it being pet friendly is a huge plus, but it really does need updating and a really thorough cleaning and shampoo the carpet!

Great Location

This was our second house rental in PCB and we were very pleased with it's location. It's right on the outside of all the action and attractions, well within walking distance to avoid all the traffic. And you can't beat being able to see the ocean from the balcony and having a beach access right outside the front door.

As far as the actual rental. It was a nice cozy 2 bed room. It was nice and clean upon our arrival and everything worked great. Plenty of utensils and pots and pans in the kitchen too, which was very convenient since we did a lot of cooking. The bathrooms were fully functional and clean. Having a laundry room was a definite plus.

We would definitely recommend this rental to anyone wanting a small townhouse close to everything.

Great location, but needs renovation

It's a 4-star location and a 2-star condo, so I give it three stars (average). At these prices, you can't expect perfection. I think I paid $89 per night in November, which is a fair price for what I got.

I'd say the prior two-star review pretty much covered everything accurately, except that the back "yard" (really just some rocks and a tree in a very small space) was in decent condition when I was there. The stove is still iffy, and all other appliances are very low-end, but functional. The TV is older than anything you've seen in a decade or more, and when this listing says "VCR," it ain't kidding. They don't have any VHS movies in stock and I'm guessing neither do you. It's got a DVD player, but it wouldn't play our discs, which were Blu-Ray. There's no internet access, and cellular data reception is weak. Everything seems to date to the mid-90's at best.

I wouldn't say the place was really dirty overall, but the cleaning service leaves much to be desired -- dirt and dust built up on the ceiling fans and ceiling, visible debris in carpet, etc. The real problem is that the carpet appears to be 20 or more years old, and the sofas almost that age. Still, a good detailing, washing of the walls, and a carpet shampoo would be in order.

At the same time, it is a pet-friendly place -- that's why we rented it -- so you can't expect them to invest in the best quality materials. Be aware that the stairs to the second floor, where the kitchen and dining and living areas are -- are very narrow and steep, so any person or dog with mobility issues will have trouble. There is a handrail.

The location is excellent, right across the street from a very nice stretch of beach. The unit is in the center of a three-unit building, and it was very quiet. The beds were quite comfortable and the sheets and bedspreads were in fine condition. The property manager was responsive and a pleasure to deal with.

The views aren't as good as shown in the photos here -- three houses have been built across the street, so there's a relatively small wedge of Gulf that you can see. It's still nice, and you can hear the waves at night, but the Gulf you see is about a quarter of what you see pictured here.

If I were coming again with my dog, I might stay here again. If it were a romantic trip of any sort, I'd look elsewhere.

Enjoyed PCB but was disappointed with the townhouse

We enjoyed our vacation at PCB even though it rained over half of the week we were there. As far as the townhouse, it is in the perfect location and is as close to the beach as you can get without being right on the beach. We were very disappointed with the condition of the the townhouse as it was very out dated and it appeared to not have been cleaned from the last renters. The carpet was dirty. The stove in very outdated and the only large eye on the stove would only work half of the time. The pots and pans are worn out and looked terrible. There was only one chair on the deck. There was a wooden table with 2 benches on the deck but not very practical it you wanted to enjoy sitting on the deck and watch the waves. The sofa sleeper was nasty and worn out and no one could sleep on it because it was that bad and we knew that who ever cleaned the house before we got there did not check it because when we opened it up there was a bra in the sleeper bed. Its a good thing we took an air mattress with us. The bedroom beds were very comfortable but the front bedroom didn't have a dresser or chest of drawers to put clothes in just had a closet to hang up stuff but no where for items that you can't hang, so we lived out of our suitcase for a week. The master bedroom had a dresser and 2 closets. The back "yard" was very overgrown. As I said early, this townhouse is in the perfect location but just needs a lot of updating.

Great location, quite neighborhood, enjoyed being able to take my dog. The townhouse was just as described in the description, nice two bedroom, two bath could stand some updating. But overall very pleased with rental.
