We have called this apartment The James Joyce after the famous Irish novelist.

A recently refurbished apartment that sleeps 6 comfortably ideally situated close to Temple Bar in the city centre as well as the Phoenix Park and Botanic Gardens.

This apartment has been lovingly restored to a very high degree while retaining a lot of the original features to provide a classic and extremely luxurious stay. This is a luxury apartment with all the comforts of home.

Within easy reach of all the fabulous restaurants, Temple Bar, museums, parks, Trinity College and Library, Farmleigh House and of course shopping that Dublin has to offer.

Easy walk to numerous bus stops and train stations that will connect you with the Luas which will connect you with all of Dublin. There are also a number of great restaurants and pubs within a 10 minute walk from the apartment which we can highly recommend. A local pub just 10 minutes walk away provides traditional Irish music for your entertainment and is a great night out.

We provide a welcome pack with the basics such as bread and milk etc to get you on your feet.

There is a major supermarket within a 5 minute walk so you will never run out of essentials. All mod cons are provided and there is linen and towels freshly laundered for your use.

The apartment is in a beautiful large red brick Victorian building on a tree lined street. There is one large bedroom with 2 double beds and in the living room there is a leather pull down sofa that makes another double bed.

There is a fully equipped kitchen and dining area that will cater for 6 and the bathroom is spacious and modern. There is fridge with a small ice box, microwave, dishwasher and washer dryer so that anyone considering an extended stay can enjoy all the comforts of home. A cot can be provided upon request.

For anyone considering exploring Ireland further there is a car hire company close by and Heuston Station is approx 15-20 minute walk.

The famous Guinness Storehouse is close at hand as well as the Jameson Distillery both of which run tours regularly and are worth a visit. Dublin is also renowned for it's famous Temple bar area for entertainment which is a bus ride away. For art lovers the Irish Museum of Modern Art is 15 minutes away and the National Museum of Ireland is 10 minutes away.

Trinity College, Kilmainham Gaol, Ryan's Victorian Pub, St. Patricks Cathedral, are just some other of the many wonderful attractions that are available.

We can provide an airport transfer upon request for a fee and early check in can be accommodated if the apartment is available.

About Liam Travers

I come from a family background in the hospitality industry. Having lived in New York for a number of years, I returned in 1990 and purchased this property in Dublin City. I have recently returned to the hospitality industry and ensuring my guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay in my apartment is a priority for me. I'm available 24/7 for my guests and aim to provide every comfort during their stay.

Why Liam Travers chose Dublin

I chose this location for the proximity to the city centre and of course the beautiful Victorian Redbrick lined North Circular Road.These properties are a feature of Dublin and are preserved by Dublin Council. The fact that the Phoenix Park and the Botanic gardens are within walking distances is an absolute plus, providing plenty of recreational activity. Numerous pubs, restaurants are within walking distance and I feel that the house provides a sense of character and charm not matched by modern buildings and houses.

What makes this apartment unique

There are a number of benefits to staying in this property. Located close to the heart of the city of Dublin there is an excellant transport system by bus and light rail that means all of the sights can be visited with the minimum of fuss. The building itself is a beautiful Victorian property that has unique charm while offering all the modern comforts that a guest could expect.

The location is ideal as it is quiet while being convenient to all shopping, sights, transport, museums etc. that makes a holiday. Located beside the Phoenix park which is Europe's largest urban park the traveller can have a taste of the country while still remaining in the city.

There truly is something for everyone.

We were a group of four university students who wanted to visit the city of Dublin. The apartment was perfect for us, we could go walking to most of the places and if it was necessary we could take a bus (there is a stop in front of the apartment). The aparment was magnific and so clean. It was a warm and confortable place to relax after a day visiting the city centre. If we go back to Dublin, we hope to stay here again :)

Happy Happy Happy

We have been here since Wednesday and from the ride in from driver Brendan, to the welcome by owner Liam, to our continuing stay, we are here now and enjoying every minute, with loads to do and see, we love this property!!!! It is even more beautiful than the pictures. During the booking and anticipating process, Liam expediently responded to all of our queries. He met us here and gave us the 'lay of the land.' Lovely bread, milk, butter, and his home grown delicious apples awaited us. The bus to city centre and points beyond is convenient and easy. The apartment is spotlessly clean, comfortable, and lovely. Grocery store, pubs, and restaurants around the corner. The Cobblestone pub, music, dancing, and friendly people, is in walking distance. We plan to be here a month. I wish it were a year!! Thank you Liam and Fiona for a dream come true trip...more fun to come on our stay!!!!

Wonderful vacation

We totally enjoyed our stay and when returning to Dublin, Glen Court Apartments will be our choice lodging. Excellent location and within a short walk to grocery store and several great restaurants. Liam is an excellent host. He also arranged all of our ground transportation and his drivers were very friendly and always arrived on time. We would not hesitate to stay with Liam again.

We stayed at Liam's place in June of 2013. I have for nearly a year now, been planning to write a review and have never gotten around to it.

Our stay was wonderful. We arranged to meet Liam at his place and unfortunately due to travel delays, we were a couple of hours late for him. He was incredibly gracious and we found him waiting at our apartment with a baguette, butter, milk and some fruit!

The place is beautifully kept and looks just like the pictures. Very comfortable. The location was great. The bus stop was practically less than a block from the house and took us directly downtown in 15-20 minutes. Thanks again Liam.

Excellent!

If it were possible to give ten stars I would gladly do so! My husband and I rented three units, the Samuel Beckett, the Keats, and the James Joyce for our six daughters, four granddaughters, and three great granddaughters under three. My husband is somewhat limited in mobility and our gracious host Liam made every effort to accommodate him, as well as providing a high chair and cot for the littlest one. The apartments are everything they advertise...spacious, immaculate, comfortable and so very convenient. The city bus stop is just steps away and you can connect to tours and attractions very easily. My only regret is that we can't return every year!

A great place to stay with easy access to the city centre in just 10 minutes by bus. There is a regular bus service that runs right by the front door and there is the light rail system which is a great way to see Dublin in its entirety. A major supermarket is just a few minutes walk so all food requirements can be taken care of easily. The beautiful Phoenix Park is Europe's largest urban park is a 10 minute walk from the apartment and houses Dublin Zoo. This is a must see for any traveller to spend a few hours wandering through the trees and beautiful landscape. Excellant restaurants and pubs some providing traditional Irish music which should be experienced. The Guinness Brewery, Jamestown Distillery, National Gallery Of Ireland, Trinity College, Kilmainham Gaol all worth a visit.
