Cute and Cozy! Our one bedroom one bath cabin is nestled in the North Carolina Smoky Mountains with a bold rushing creek that runs through the property. This is how it got the name "Cabin on a Creek".
No matter if you are just looking for a place to relax and forget about all the "stuff" going on in your life, on your honeymoon, celebrating that special anniversary or looking for a central place for your outdoor adventure this is the place to be.
Located in Whittier North Carolina at an elevation of 3,000 feet you will find the cabin secluded (only cabin on our side of the mountain), quiet and cool. On a clear night the brightness of the stars will take your breath away.
Start your day off with a cup of coffee on the front porch swing. On most mornings the squirrels and birds will keep you entertained. Finish it with a class of wine with your loved one out on the large deck by the creek. After a day of tubing in Deep Creek, whitewater rafting in the Nantahala River or hiking the trails the outdoor hot tub will soothe your aching muscles. One of my favorite things to do is sit on the deck and read a book or two. So Relaxing…
If the night is cool you can sit inside by the gas fireplace and watch tv or a DVD. Upstairs you will find a very comfortable queen size bed with a featherbed topper. All of our bedding is covered with allergy proof covers to help those that may have allergies to dust mites. Need a book to read, no problem just grab one of ours. If you are not done reading it when it is time to leave feel free to take it with you.
The location is perfect. No more than 20 to 30 minutes from all the wonderful local activities: Deep Creek for a day of tubing .. Smoky National Park for hiking, Nantahala Outdoor Center for whitewater rafting .. Fontana Lake for boating and fishing .. Harrah’s Cherokee Casino .. and 8 minutes from Smoky Mountain Golf and Country Club.
No matter if you are looking for a place to spend a week or two or just to get away from it all for a few days our mountain cabin is the place to be.

PAYMENT: Payment in full is due 15 days prior to your check-in date. A deposit equal to 30% will be charged when you make your reservation.
CHECK-IN TIME: Check-in time is between 2pm & 5pm unless other arrangements are made.
LATE ARRIVAL: If you need to check-in after 5pm, let us know we will prepare a late-arrival package for you. This package will include directions and a key code to our cabin and will be available at our office lockbox.
CHECKOUT TIME: All guests must be checked out by 10am. NO EXCEPTIONS! We need to have time to get our cabin ready for the next guests. Keys are to be left in lockbox
SECURITY DEPOSITS: Upon arrival a security deposit hold of $150.00 will be placed on the credit card on file. This hold is not a charge and will not show on your credit card statement. In the event of damage, theft or the need for excessive cleaning, this security deposit will be used. Charges could exceed the security deposit. Please note that hot tub covers are fragile and have a replacement cost of $350.00. Damages, etc. that occur during your stay will be charged to you. Your security deposit is not to be considered part of your rent. This is simply security for the unit to repair any damages, replace missing contents or to reimburse owner or agent for expenses resulting from agreement violations. The security deposit is not to be confused with the 30% deposit to confirm your reservation.
CANCELLATION: We will issue a full refund of your deposit, minus a $50 cancellation charge, for reservation cancelled 30 days prior to your arrival date. Deposits and fees for reservations cancelled less than 30 days prior to your arrival date are non-refundable, but may be applied to a future reservation within a year without penalty up to 14 days prior to arrival.
