Tahoe Donner House Rental Photos and Description
House, 3 Bedrooms + Loft, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8-10)
A forest of trees peek in at you from dramatic windows throughout the home, and provide privacy while you use the gas BBQ or soak in the spa on the back deck. The front and back of the home has everything nature can offer, and some thoughtful additions from some humans. The back deck is perfect for outdoor dining and overlooks a stone patio with seating and a fire pit for making s'mores with the kids.
Inside the home, the windows allow every room to enjoy the rustic woods with very little notice of other homes. The decor is that of a mountain home, while the oversized TV, free WiFi, and a docking station for electronics or an iPod lets you enjoy the best of our modern world.
An open floor plan and high wood covered ceilings create a spacious feeling throughout the home and keep the cooks part of the family activities. Those in the kitchen will appreciate how well equipped it is with a gas range, granite counters, and loads of pots, pans, and serving pieces for entertaining. The dining table extends to seat 10 and there is added seating at the counter. A vintage high chair and a pack & play crib is available for use with the kinder.
The large loft overlooks the main level of the home and provides a separate place for someone to read, get some work done, or for kids to play. The roomy loft also offers a second place to watch TV or movies and unique sleeping for 2-3 people. Toys, books, and lots of games are available for indoor fun, and there are sleds & saucers for snow fun.
The master bedroom features a king size sleigh bed, TV, and private access to the outdoor heated spa. The master bath has double sinks and a jetted tub. Both additional bedrooms are well decorated and offer queen size beds. The entire home displays unique items of vintage or rustic living that will enhance your mountain vacation.
Once you've stayed here, you'll want to come back again to this mountain retreat for your next trip to the Truckee Tahoe area.

About Cindy Woerner
During the work week I am a psychologist, but on the weekends that we spend in the mountains I am a skiing, cooking, biking, hiking, and generally pretty cool grandmother of six.
Cindy Woerner purchased this house in 2011
Why Cindy Woerner chose Tahoe Donner
After decades of traveling to the mountains, we finally decided to buy in Tahoe-Donner so we can enjoy all the great amenities with the three generations of our family.
What makes this house unique
No matter what season we visit, the Truckee area offers so many activities. We often have too many options it's hard to decide what to do first. If there no snow for skiing, we love to get the bikes out and ride along the Truckee River to Tahoe City for lunch. Fabulous!
