Yanway Cottage is a luxurious, characterful cottage located only 5 mins drive from Windermere. The cottage is very romantic, and has views of the valley from the master bedroom. There is also a log burner for those cosy nights in with a bottle of your favourite wine. The cottage also benefits from having its own private parking space, and a lovely private lawned garden. The lounge is beautifully decorated with seating for 4 people comfortably. The dining kitchen with it's slate floor, is very high spec and is fully equipped with all modern conveniences. The location of the cottage is a favourite with walkers, and has numerous varied walks of all levels right on your doorstep. However, if you are looking for a romantic hideaway, then this cottage will not disappoint you, it is the perfect hideaway for two. Likewise, it is ideally suited to families with having a safe enclosed garden, Price includes the use of free leisure facilities at the swan hotel.
i refurbished this cottage, then subsequently sold it to new owners, they then requested i act as the agent for their bookings, which i was only to pleased to do so, as yanway is a lovely quaint and unique cottage.
this cottage dates back to the 15th century and is a very romantic place to stay. it sits on a bridle path and as you open the front door and walk down the path the views of the valley are incredible. troutbeck istelf is renowned for its local walks, and as there is very little traffic, therefore it makes it a perfect great place for dog walking.
yanway has a very quaint cottage garden which is just a skip over the bridle path, it features a lovely slate patio and a lawned area for children to play. Troutbeck is a conservation area and is a very peaceful place to stay and in my opinion unique to the rest of the lakes. Troutbeck has 2 pubs within walking distance of the cottage and both serve excellent food and the plus is, they allow dogs.
The cottage is only a 5 mins drive from Windermere and 10 mins from Ambleside. It is in a conservation area where the Townsend Historic house owned by the national trust is located, and is open to tourists all year round. There are numerous walks and there is the famous Mortal Man pub, which offers delicious food.
