Our Family Stay in Pinehurst

Our visit to Pinehurst Feb 14 -18, 2013 was very special to us. We live in Ontario, Canada and our son and his family moved to nearby Aberdeen NC last July. My wife and I and our other son and his wife and young son and our daughter and her husband decided to visit them. Altogether there were seven of us who flew from Buffalo to Raleigh to visit them and stay in this cottage as a base for our visit.
The accomodations were first rate in our opinion with only a couple exceptions. The house and everything in it was very clean with no signs of bugs or creatures of any nature. The main issue was that the water temperature in the upstairs bathroom was quite cold regardless of whether it was the first or last shower however the main floor bathrooms were quite good.
The owner (Joel) offered to pop in to say hi but he never did. We would have asked him for the wireless internet password if we had the opportunity. As it turned out however, when we returned home after our visit, there was an email from Joel (sent to us after we had departed) at our home computer which contained the password.
To be fair to Joel, we had his phone number and could have easily called him for the password if it was a big deal.
The only other issue was the weather. Friday was nice and mild after the frost melted but snow fell ALL day Saturday. Sunday was cloudy, windy and cold.
Overall, our visit was good to excellent. I wouldn't have a problem recommending Joel's house to anyone of our friends but we would certainly ask Joel first to get the upstairs water temperature looked after.

Owner's Response: Dan, Thank you very much for the kind review. I had a plumber come out and it turns out that the scold guard on the shower was set the highest setting. So he set it properly and now that shower is working properly. Thanks for letting me know that was an issue. I hope that you decide to stay with me again on your return visits. - Joel
